Did the Mountaineers have any fan support at the Box today?

Just wondering if many travelled down from WV for a weekend of baseball.

Yes great folks.

They were in good spirits even with the way the game played out. Shout out to Harold & Susan.

Yes. They had their allotment in the grand stands I believe. Don’t know the # off hand but like 218-ish. Saw a good bit down the first base line where I was.

They had every bit as many as Dallas Baptist and Little Rock. Not much cheering but the game flow kind of dictated that.

They had a pocket of fans on the 3rd base side. And a few wondering around the park

They filled out their allotment and then some. Several had seats in the 210s. All seemed to be good fans. Cheered their team on even during blowout moments.

One older guy high-fived me on the way out and said the Tigers were better than advertised. Another openly complained that somehow the bathrooms were hotter than outside…. They weren’t ready for June in the South

The bathrooms were probably hotter and definitely stinkier

Their baseball crowd may be different, but when I went to Morgantown for football in 2011, the fanbase definitely lived down to my expectations. Lots of folks who could have been cast in "Deliverance".

One of the few road trips when I actively traveled to see LSU that I regret missing. Was a student and didn't actually know anyone who was going up

A better class of people follow the team on road trips. Always exceptions but generally true for any school.

Our Louisiana-plated truck got keyed as congratulations for the Tigahs' victory. Overall, though, the WVU fans were fun and welcoming.

Saw a guy at Rouses in a WVU shirt and hat. I told him he was wearing the wrong gear...He laughed and said he has 3 degrees from LSU and his girlfriend made him do it, that it was a joke. I said you must have one hell of a hot girlfriend.
Pussy is obviously still undefeated.
