This thread reeks of Gump imposters and Negatiger sub human schiite too stupid to figure out they are being led by the nose. Either paid to post as part of their shadow part time gig or some Gumpneck POS m....r getting his circle jerk kicks it is the same schiite. 2016 did not kill anything with LSU fan base. It was just the beginning of the true end for Les as it was time for him to geaux.

Miami in Dallas had a nice crowd, although it's closer and there's a ton of LSU people here.
I'm excited got Austin this fall. Should be a lot of tigers there.
I watched that lambeau game on my honeymoon at a pub at the resort. We lost, took shots, then headed back to the beach.

He was. No accuracy, no natural inclination to be a competent QB. Went to UNC and same thing. It was him more than anything even the coaching actually. Just not cut out to be a Power 5 QB. The analysts messed up big time with him.

Miles killed the fan base. The fan base is now so toxic and divided that we can’t seem to even enjoy a successful season that exceeded expectation and a top 5 recruiting class.

Just a loud minority makes it divided. The fan base feels and looks better here at the end of the season and after the bowl win. Another 10+ win season and things definitely will feel better for those whose opinions actually should be taken seriously.

Getting the ball back with great field position, the perfect amount of time and only needing a fieldgoal to win it and Brandon harris goes full retard throwing the worst interception I’ve ever seen at any level of football. If Miles starts Etling we win that game despite his blind allegiance to sending LF up the middle into 11 man boxes 80% of plays.

This isn’t particularly new; there were fans on here back when I was still lurking without an account who wanted Les fired in 2011 leading up to the NCG. I don’t mean after that game, I mean right after we skullfricked Georgia for the SEC title.
There will always be people unhappy

I refused to let it bother me.

No, between the Miles debacle and "I am the search", Joe Alleva added fuel to the fire.

Boutte’s hit on the DB after the pick was the nail in the coffin for CLM two years too late.

Increasingly, fans only want to attend some kind special event game in large numbers. Wisconsin in Green Bay. Miami in Arlington. Wait until 2021 when we play UCLA in the Rose Bowl.
We should schedule Notre Dame in Soldier Field.

LSU football gameday experience problems are the same everywhere
It was just overall a better experience in the 50's 60's and early 70's....
It was the only game in town...just about everything else in town shut down...you either went to the game or you stayed home and listened to it on the radio...
There wasn't three days of tailgating or rv's....or even much tailgating at all on game day on campus
Back then most people had one car and lived a much simpler life...
The biggest change came about when TV money moved in and took over the game....ticket prices went up and changed the tradition at LSU of having night games only...
Over the years it has turned into a more corporate or PRO football event..
Was it better years ago....HELL YES.... but that was before
TV games
Piped in music
Lot after lot of RV'S
Cell phones
TAF fees
The internet
Cheap tickets to all the games
You could virtually walk into tiger stadium with a bottle of Jack Daniel in one hand and your ticket in the other
A MUCH MUCH SIMPLER LIFESTYLE...back in the day
GO TO HE'LL OLE MISS WAS THE MOST VULAR THING YOU HEARD FROM THE STUDENT SECTION

It was a first realization that tDecline was indeed real and not just a bump in the road.

that game was the culmination of many failures in the Les Miles era, most notably QB play and head coaching. The punter was a hot stinky mess that day as well.

WTF? The only game that was worth a damn was Miami and that game had tons of LSU fans. Texas will be full of LSU fans. So I'm not really sure what you mean here? LSU only brings few fans to a typical away conference game. There's never this huge contingency of fans at Auburn or Florida. Maybe like 10k but I'm sure that's not far off from what we have been bringing every year.
I assure you that if LSU plays USC or Michigan to start the year LSU fans will travel. Not many fans were going to see UCF in freakn Arizona but we still had quite a few there also. Plus you had morons in this fanbase saying O sucks, we're doomed, shrimp boat captain, OM left over's, he'll never win, blah blah blah and some people that don't have their own minds followed that negetive line of thinking.
I don't think Miles has any impact on what fans follow this team now? Why would it? Nah I just think it was one of those years where no one expected much from the team and they surprised us some. The hype will be there for 2019. Especially if the spring game looks high flying with those WRs, TEs and RBs all catching balls all over the place. That's what I would do if I'm Ed O and Steve E. It's a show so put one on for the fans. They had their private scrimmages all week to run the ball. People want to see that ball flying all over and TDs scored so give them what they want to see.
That will build up some hype and might scare the crap out of a few teams. LSU has to start in conditioning these players and then putting some meat on them. If those OLman and DLman especially the NTs and OLman who are totally out of shape come in to the spring game back in at least decent shape then my eyes will widen a bit. If they look the same then my expectations won't be much better than they were last year, which wasn't doom and gloom like most but was more moderate. I said 9-3 as the floor. More than likely 10-2. I didn't think we would lose to Florida or A&M and we really shouldn't have. I also thought we would have Chassion all year.
