They were away from their little Cracker Jack box stadium. So, yes.

They had probably 4 that would have been out in Knoxville. Thankful that we play in a real stadium.

LSU was a couple feet away from multiple more HRs this weekend as well. Hernandez final hit if it was a foot higher would've a HR. What we learned is Tenn doesn't have as much power as they think since they play in a little league park and that "LSU doesn't have power" isn't really true either since LSU plays in a bigger park.

Yep.

Even the heckler Burreaux can count the # of Vol homers over the weekend.

LSU hit 7, Tennessee hit 1
Crazy what happens when a team actually play in a college park and not some little league BS.

We’d have had about 4-5 more too at that stadium

Says a hell of a lot about their pitching staff. They’ve given up 43 HRs in 44 games & 29 games in said Cracker Jack box. Their team ERA is 3.31. They have hit 98 HRs & given up 43. That’s 2.28 HRs hit for every HR given up.

I was just going to post that but then decided to look at LSU’s pitching staff’s HRs given up. This absolutely shocked me.

Cade Anderson has given up 12 HRs in 11 games. The rest of LSU’s staff has only given up 18 HRs (30 total). Their team ERA is 3.77. LSU has hit 70 HRs & given up 30 that’s 2.33 HRs hit for every HR given up.

Ok, I don’t know what the hell that says about their pitching or the Cracker Jack box they play in. Or LSU’s staff and the real park we play in. But I think it shows just how close these two teams are & why this series was so much fun (& painful) to watch.

Cade seems like he gives up a lot of solo home runs. Not sure but they most often seem to be solo.
