Wonder if Moffitt alerted Miles to the Email from Alleva?

What email from Alleva?

May explain that tweet Moffitt sent out regarding Fisher.

What tweet regarding Fisher?

No, we don't need another Saban, we need another Emmert.

Alleva asked Moffitt about player morale and whether they were still working hard from what I remember. I don't see that as that big a deal. Alleva knew what Miles would have said to save his own arse.

Don't blame him. Looked like they quit in that Ole Miss game.

LSU is consistently one of the strongest and fittest programs in the country. Don't confuse weak coaching philosophies with weak players.

But seriously though.......

Aleva

Miles

Moffitt

Aleva has every right to contact Moffitt with requests for information and no duty to inform Miles of that action. Period.

Moffitt works for Aleva, what is he supposed to do, not answer?

Usually the people with a true pulse on the team, the players, and their mental state are the trainers and strength coaches. They spend the most personal time with the players, and are usually the people that players feel like they can bitch and moan to about their problems.

I guess a better question would be does he routinely check in with Moffitt or is the first time.

Yeah, don't see this as a big deal. Alleva was just asking Moffit what we were all wondering

I wonder if anyone has alerted Moffitt to the fact that our players aren't strong enough to compete in the SEC week in and week out

What I saw aqainst Bama and Arkansas is our OL being stood up straight which allows the DL to easily push the PL into the QB or impede the back from reaching the line of scrimmage. Now that could be part of coaching fundamental's or purely not being strong enough. Mostly no leverage.

For those asking, here is the language from The Advocate:

quote:

After the Ole Miss loss, Alleva emailed strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt to ask how the players’ “spirits” were.

“They worked really, really well,” Moffitt said of the morning practice. “Everyone was on time and ready to go but were very quiet, almost silent.”

LINK

Though both the Advocate and the broadcast version of the Fox8 story quoted these e-mails, neither chose those particular e-mails to link a scan of.

Going through Moffitt to get info on the players is underhanded, my guess is he's good as gone. Crazy days are definitely back. The only thing that will save LSU football from this is another coach like Saban who told everyone from the AD to the BOS to get the F out of the way and let me run this show!

He did it at LSU and the same thing works at Bama.

People on here that want Moffitt gone or do not think he is getting is done are not very smart. MOffitt is the GOAT of Strength and Conditioning. Anyone who has been through this program will tell you that. There are plenty to blame for LSU's short comings but Moffitt is not one of them.

I have found that many people on here specialize in knee jerk reactions to rumors. they want to fire everybody. really. one guy wanted to fire the BOS! like they were employees.

there is a preponderance of students and very young fans on here and they are pretty limited on real life experiences.

i'm just explaining not defending.

It has long been known that this is not a S&C issue. Miles' practices are extremely physical all season leaving players no real recuperating time. Saban, otoh, runs his practices more like NFL practices.

Oh but that's Moffit's fault?

For the poster that said there are no Saban's in the making----that's bullshite. We pulled Saban from Mich St. We pulled Miles from Okie St. We are different program now though. We should be able to get an elite coach(NFL or college) to come here.
