I pull for LSU and never a coach. All of you Wade Cucks are fricking weird.

LOL. Why do people sit here and support a coach who no longer coaches here? See I can do it too.Schmuck.

Is it?
I understand the affinity for Wade. For the better part of 5 years LSU basketball was competitive. They won an SEC championship and (but for the 2020 cancellation) would have reached the NCAA Tournament four straight seasons. The first time that happened since 1990-1993 (30 years ago). Now, being an LSU fan means you have to suffer through watching a program that is 6-22 in its last (nearly) 30 SEC games. One where (at the moment) some will gleefully celebrate a losing SEC record as "success" and moral victories as if they were actual victories. All while watching the former coach, who most fans did not want to see fired, at a different school a few hours down the road have immediate success at a program that has had very little in its history.
Wade is not coming back, so the longing for that reunion is a bit ridiculous. But while I think most would simply prefer just for LSU to be a good basketball program again, I understand why some continue to harbor frustration watching the current state of the program when they feel it didn't have to be this way.
Skip Bertman retired to end that era of great success in baseball. Saban chose to leave LSU for the NFL. There was nothing the school/fans could do to prevent that. Every other coach eventually reached the point where the fanbase was happy to see them go. Wade is the only HC in recent memory that was forced to leave against the wishes of the fanbase. That's why this situation is different.

I think the announcers said that Ward, Stewart and Collins are hurt. Ward has become the 2nd most important player on the team, so he could've been the difference in the Georgia game. He has the 2nd best BPM at 5.5, with Wright being the best at 7.0. Dean is at 3.2 and Collins is at 3.1, so Collins is another key player that we need to heal up. I hope to see both of them on the court in the next game.

bro yall turned this thread into a shite show.
Anyways I was worried it was something more. He looked healthy. Wonder what was hurting. Usually you can tell leg injury.

He actually has players moving on offense and defense and we run inbounds plays instead of everyone standing in the same spot for 5 seconds. For all the passion that Wade showed, it often didn’t transfer over to effort from his players. He had one year where the team emphasized defense and showed an improvement. I honestly got tired of hearing Wade say we needed to work on rebounding. It’s mostly an effort thing and some of it is luck.

Well, since I mute the TV talking heads and listen to Blair & Brady, I missed those comments. Glad to know that it wasn’t just a situation where he was in the doghouse or academically ineligible.

Terrific! It's doesn't lead to much besides turnovers and inefficiency. Forget Wade. McMahon's offenses have been significantly OBJECTIVELY worse than Johnny Jones's offenses.

And how often is LSU scoring off of any of those plays? Hardly ever.
If everyone's claims that McMahon is a "better x's and o's coach" is premised on his team's offensive execution then they are SEVERELY misguided. His offenses have been terrible at LSU, and to somehow suggest they are better than Wade's because they "look pretty" is ridiculous. For all of the asinine "streetball" claims, in 3 of his 5 years LSU had nationally elite offenses (top 15). Two of which were in the top 5 nationally. That absolutely does not happen by just letting guys do whatever the hell they want.
If McMahon deserves any bit of coaching credit it is on the defensive side of the ball where LSU has been solid this season. The irony is that his defensive approach is largely the same as Wade's was...and emphasis on creating deflections/turnovers. That approach is pretty good, when you have guys who have great anticipation and the ability to get steals (see Wright, Williams, and Hannibal on this team). But it is awful when you don't (see last season.

Except for his 1st year (with Tremont Waters), every other year, Wade had at least 2 future NBA players. On this roster, Wright might be a future NBA player, but the rest are g leaguers or worse. We have talent, but they’re just a tad shy of NBA talent level. Next year’s roster may have a couple, but they’ll be freshmen, unless he brings in an NBA transfer.

How many NBA players do these teams have?
BYU
Colorado St
Colorado
St. Johns
Michigan
New Mexico
Washington
Boston College
Nevada
Virginia Tech
McNeese St.
UMass
SMU
California
St. Joes
etc, etc, etc,
...because they ALL have significantly better offenses than LSU this season.
LSU is 2nd to last in the SEC in offensive efficiency. They lead the SEC in turnovers per game. And for all of the supposed great "ball movement" they are in the bottom 3rd of the country in assists per made FG. Which means there are a lot of buckets coming off of "dreaded" one-on-one "street ball" possessions. The beautiful "plays" player movement, and ball movement you THINK you are seeing really isn't there. Or at least to a degree greater than prior coaches.
Never before have I seen some people go to such lengths to absolve a coach of ANY negative, factually based, criticisms. It's ok to admit McMahon's offenses have been really bad at LSU. The good news is the defense has been MUCH improved. Which is allowing LSU to remain in games despite offensive struggles.

The excuses will never end as shown in this thread where they’re already making em for next season. Discussing hoops with these types is a waste of time.

You are a contradiction.
If you pull for LSU, then why do you celebrate the present state of the program.
Meanwhile ignore the fact we were in the tourney every year Wade was HC.
If not for Woke Woody and Tate, we would be looking forward to another tourney appearance, instead of wishing for a winning season.
And you call others "Weird".

They claim McMahon inherited 0 players while at the same time claiming he doesn’t have his guys on the roster yet 2 years later. Thats the posters you’re talking about in a nutshell.
