Did JJ call for the ball and how loud was the noise level

In Dandy Don's transcript of the Miles press conference, Miles says the Quarterback call for the ball. Did that happen? I didn't notice it watching the game and haven't seen it referred to elsewhere. LINK
He also says no one could hear him. How loud was the noise down there?

dandydon = increasingly harder to read...pretty much same shite week after week (kinda like what miles says)

That is completely false. JJ was looking around to see if everyone was set when the ball was snapped. He never called for or saw the snap.

I do not think Jefferson called for the ball. I think T-BO saw the clock ticking down and snapped the ball knowing anything is better than nothing.
The fans saw what was happening and the place went crazy. I think everyone was having flashbacks to Ole Miss.

He didn't have his headset on either.

It was loud. Everyone seemed to yelling angrily or cheering to make something happen. I was trying to quiet the section of people that i was with. Some of the people that sit near me that never yell or cheer the whole game somehow became very vocal at the end. it doesn't help!

Yes, he clapped his hands together. Looked to me like a call for the ball.

I saw the replay. He is clearly looking around. Why would he call for the snap and not be looking for it when it's snapped?

Watch the QBs this Saturday. They do this as a pre-snap routine. Can't say I know what it's all about, but the ball isn't snapped when they clap.

quote:Then you saw him clap his hands one or two counts before the snap came, didn't you? That's calling for the ball, by the way.

The only one who really knows if he said anything is Jefferson himself. But, if he called for the ball, why wasn't he watching for it?

Watch at the 32 second mark. Looks like he claps his hands, calling for the ball.

the initial clap is not a call for the ball...

I don't know for sure if JJ called for the ball, but, I damn sure called for it! I also don't know how loud it was on the field, but, it was unbelievably loud at the deer camp.. Folks that I've never heard cuss in 20 years were screaming the F word...
