I agree. It’s irrelevant but the fact that it was used in a documentary means it immediately became available to many more people.

An offer for what. Oh, let me guess, you are only guessing.
Two....WW said he has made many of these "offers" (with success) in the past. Which means he actually paid players in past years....also a rules infraction.
Comedy. I don't know what you did, but you are guilty.
I have said it before, I believe WW to be guilty. I also believe it can't be proven...just alleged.

The documentary first made news just a few weeks ago(if that...? Days have ran together) after a media screening. I guess it’s possible someone from the NCAA was able to see it, but that still makes it “new”.

I was hoping Bobby Knight wasn't restrained and bitch slapped that bald headed pos.

My point is that there was nothing new on the tapes. The medium in which the info was received, whether audio or text, doesn’t matter.
The doc might make it worse for emotionally weak people but it doesn’t really move the needle one way or the other as far as the actual investigation

Vitale and Forde are like Pelosi and Schiff starting an investigation, looking for a crime.

Wouldn’t totally rule it out, but very very small chance given the timing & crossover in media companies

Yahoo’s stance is that up until the release of the doc, it was a merely a “media report”, which the NCAA cannot act upon. Now that the tape is confirmed, it’s something they can use.
Would open up potential trouble if true.

I don’t really see that as accurate. I think it’s yahoo trying to keep having something to write about. Horrible media course. Equal to bleacher report
Posted on 4/2/20 at 3:08 pm to Lester Earl
It doesn’t really matter dawg. But I’m saying the audio, separate from the film, could have been heard by the ncaa

One thing we do know is they’ve definitely heard it now

A "conspiracy" requires more than one person. There's nothing on that tape clearly establishing Wade was working with someone else to commit an infraction.

1. How long ago were these purported payments?
2. Who knows if he were even at LSU when they purportedly occurred?
3. The statute of limitations could have LONG run on those purported violations.
No, no one is naive enough to think that Wade didn't "cheat". That's how recruiting works in college basketball. For not just Wade, but every power conf. coach. It's why AAU basketball exist.
Now, you're right. The NCAA isn't a court of law. Thus, the burden of proof is far lower than a criminal trial. That said, they still need proof to level an administrative sanction. Is there enough to charge Wade with allegations? Maybe. But to what degree. Take a look at the Kansas NOA. The basis of which is essentially evidence that came to light in the criminal trial of the Adidas personnel. Here, as far as we know, the only "evidence" is a less than 5 minute conversation between Wade and Dawkins.

Sounds good intellectual giant.

I mean, the "media reports" were transcripts from evidence presented in a fricking federal trial. The NCAA got nothing new from the airing of this documentary.

You said offering and actually giving is the same.
They are the same....they are both violations. Hence, the same.

Interesting how that article mentions LSU and AZ in the beginning; but then proceeds to be entirely about LSU. Bias much?
