Kinda got lost in the glamour of Bech, D. Smith and even Nabers' spectacular catch, but I was impressed with what I thought was a blue collar chain-moving possession receiver type of game from him. Not to minimize what those other guys did at all, but it was nice that type of game come from a guy who has bounced around position groups start to come into his own. Nice to see guys actually catching the ball and looking good doing it from a technical standpoint.

He was great in the first half in the build up of the lead. I think there is something to say for that, Bech was amazing, but most of his stuff came after the game was way out of reach and they were playing for fun. Also really impressed by Smith, he dominated throughout the whole game, didn't seem like he took a single play off.

I like the quick passes to Lee. He's a load for a CB to bring down for no gain. LSU is going to have to do stuff like this as an extension of the running game. Need 3-5 yards? Throw a quick pass to a WR rather than another inside zone to TDP.

On Lee's size advantage, the pass he caught near the goaline, he and the db collided at the top of the route and the db went flying.

Glad to see Lee get some due, not sure if that will continue in SEC play, but he's stuck it out here being moved to like 4 different positions so it's good to reward him like that.

Kind of reminds me of Kirklin last year against Vandy.

He’s a wide body who can either run rub routes, outright block on screens, or be counted on to fall forward for a few yards. He’s can be a great contributor to what substitutes for a ground game.

Very on brand for someone on TD to report on like tuesday that he left the program and 4 days later he has the best game of his career.

The RPO from Max to Lee for the TD made me so happy. Thing of beauty.

Someone reported Lee left the team a week or two back. Did he come back, or was that a bad rumor?

Wouldn't mind seeing him used like Jefferson was, floating into the backfield, and a quick 3 yard rb out, and see what he can get upfield. He's the size of a lb, no cb or safety wants to tackle that on the edge.

Loved seeing him get reps, targets, and he helps offset a weak running game with the quick hits.

He had 5 catches in the game...2 came on the first drive and a 3rd was when the game was 14-0. His 4th catch was the TD when the game was 28-7 in the first half.

Now, I guess you could argue with the benefit of hindsight the game was "out of reach" when it was 28-7. But given the fact LSU's defense has been susceptible to big plays (including one in the first half) you couldn't say the game was out of reach at the time. So almost all of Bech's production was when it was still a game.

Lee also had 4 catches in the first half. 3 of them came on drives that ended in punts.

He had a very good productive game. Hope for more consistency and increased playing time

See him as a potential Devin Duvernay type receiver who we faced against Texas.

I thought Devonta Lee's play was very solid and I hope he continues to perform just as good in the future.

Lee kinda reminds me of the John Diarse kid from Neville (I think he eventually transferred to maybe TCU?). Not flashy but versatile, not super fast but a good enough athlete with decent size that you don’t quite know where he best fits. I’m glad he’s got a shot but honestly he’s going to struggle to get touches as these younguns’ continue to emerge. We’ve not even seen Hilton and Nabors really..

They should use him exactly how the Saints use Michael Thomas. Throw those quick slants over the middle and make those DBs have to tackle him. The kid is a load for a WR. DBs will not like having to tackle he or Bech on a regular basis and then after a steady dose of those short quick passes to our physical receivers is when you take your shots and go over the top to Boutte and Deion Smith.
