now what happened that day in Dec and what KL did to himself on Saturday are tragic and completely unnecessary.
I agree.

anxiety, depression, impulse control issues, etc are different in everyone and how we deal with them obviously varies from person to person
it seems that sometimes the focus, drive and determination it takes to be a high level athlete can also cause the athlete to lose his/her shite in the worst ways possible when things dont go as expected or something bad happens
we just dont really know these people we root for on saturdays

Not one person cared about "mental health" until he killed himself.
So you know everyone that knew Lacy? How can you make this sort of overarching comment unless you do?
quote:
No one would be bringing up his mental health if this never happened and he was taken in the 3rd round.
Wow so his mental health was only brought up publicly because he committed suicide. No shite. Mentally well people don’t kill themselves.

So the Sheriff's Office is wrong? Wouldn't you want to state the truth instead of letting false information float around?
I wondered the same unless it affects the civil suit. I see the poster responded, but then deleted. What was posted?

Stop assuming things because he doesn’t have a sister in Houston . That was his mom who he was around when he shot the gun. And she moved to Houston for a better environment for her two younger sons after her divorce

Not assuming anything.
There were other posts/reportss that said sister. Obviously erroneous.
His mom posted about why she moved to Houston on her Facebook. Her post is not an assumption.
Read below from her Facebook:

In a season of heaviness, depression, stress and anxiety, I took a leap of faith almost 2 years ago!
After my divorce my mental health was at an all time low! From unhealed traumas as a child to a grown adult, I was losing my mind! I felt it, my kids felt it, I needed a change! I packed my entire house up and moved to another state! The Holy Spirit lead me to an amazing area, with an amazing job that I absolutely love! Although it’s been an adjustment for us all God has been right there with us leading the way! Mentally I’m in a much better space ???????? With each day, I’m getting better! All things are working together for my good! I know my sacrifices will have great rewards in the end! God is constantly blowing my mind! I’m thankful for my sons, sisters, family, my son’s fathers, my friends near and far for their support and love! And anyone who has helped me along the way! Without yall I wouldn’t be where I am today!! I love y’all! Happy Tuesday! #testimonytuesday

He basically confirmed what another poster said, but said that the other poster was incorrect. Them talked about how Kyren wasn't right mentally, which is something that everyone probably already assumes. Not sure why he's being secretive about it.

You poor thang! You're assuming everything and don't know anything more than anyone else that can read. Yet you pretend that you do because you have a FB account and make up hypotheticals to help you cope bc you sympathize with those that have the mental illness. I'm pretty sure that I know why you do. You really want to be more emotionally attached to this situation than you are.

Not a hypothetical.

I think one of the sons must live in Baton Rouge and will play football for the University Lab School. Here's an article about him she posted on FB on April 7 in which she tagged Kyren.

Another blanket statement. Are you a mental health expert?
Do you have facts to back this up?

Met a lot of lawyers. I don't think this one is a scumbag.
Maybe. I think it would be a mistake to assume an attorney is the best source of truth though.

I can't wait for the truth to come out.
If this guy wants the truth to come out, he should start with a DETAILED description of the events. He said the accident was in front of Lacy. That’s a big piece of info. It was one of the questions many had originally. How could he cause the accident and then drive around it. Some even speculated that he must have turned around.
But, is there something else? Was he in the wrong lane bearing down on oncoming traffic?
If truth is important explain what the actual situation was from the Lacy perspective.

Attorney did say the truth will come out.
Did you listen to the interview?

A lot of people speculated that Lacy must have been in front of the crash because the Cadenza reportedly swerved to avoid him, but the language about him then driving around the crash and leaving the scene always sounded like the wreck happened in front of Lacy.
In front of him as he was traveling in the wrong lane giving oncoming traffic nowhere to go?
Like I said. How about the Lacy contingent just lay out the facts as they know it. Simply saying “it was in front of him” is suspiciously lacking in detail. Saying “the DA hasn’t accepted charges” is suspiciously off base given that it’s common to defer to a GJ in high profile cases. Saying “why wasn’t another driver charged criminally” is suspiciously off base given that drivers in accidents are often sued civilly even when they didn’t cause the accident.
This all sounds like misdirection. Lay out the facts. Explain to me why Lacy didn’t cause or contribute to the accident. Explain why he fled. Then explain why he was so distraught that he killed himself even though his attorney was almost certain this would be completely resolved for him the next day.

Can anyone summarize the events for us, starting with the night of the car accident?
What are the known and confirmed facts?
thx

Shooting himself while driving a car in a high-speed chase is incredibly dangerous and selfish. Other families on the road could have easily been killed if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. This dude seemed to have no regard for any life other than his own.
This sounds like a comedy sketch.
