Then he tore his ACL, and then was arrested for DV, and then was accused of SA

That's the burden of proof now? That's insane. I hope you don't have a son that has to fight this one day. I'm not saying Derrius is innocent but goddamn come with some evidence.

The felony charge of strangulation was dropped in January 2021,[40] and the four remaining misdemeanor charges were dropped in June 2021 following an undisclosed settlement between Guice and his former girlfriend.[41] The arrest led to him being released by Washington.[39] Later in August 2020, Guice was accused by two women of sexual assault that occurred during two separate instances while he was a freshman at LSU in 2016.[50] Soon after the rape accusations were made public, another former LSU student announced that she had filed a police report against Guice in 2016 for taking a partially nude photograph of her without her knowledge and sharing it with some of his football teammates, a felony under Louisiana law. Although the incident was reported to both LSU police and LSU's athletic department, Guice was not given any disciplinary action by the university.[51] In March 2021, a 74-year-old woman accused Guice of sexual harassment from an incident at the Superdome in 2017.[52]
definitely a pattern of behavior of a solid young man. more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Taking him out of the record books was asinine. Especially when it meant that it moved Cecil Collins up the rankings, and he was actually convicted.
Exactly. Such things are just empty, stupid, gestures to say "See. We did something."
Guice, as a football player, set those records on the field. No different than Billy Cannon who had several run-in's with the law while he was a player and ultimately spent time in prison after his LSU career ended. Last I checked his name is emblazoned in the stadium and there is a big statue of him in the parking lot.

I don’t personally think Derrius Guice of all people made a legitimate sexual advance to a 74 year old Superdome worker, but society can be as unkind to someone who’s dislikable and has unproven allegations as someone who’s likable and has been proven guilty. That’s just how people are
You'd be surprised. He is just throwed off
Remember kellen winslow jr.

Multiple women came forward with similar stories about guice.
If it's a one time thing, yeah you get the benefit of the doubt. That's not what happened with guice.

I like to give people the benefit of doubt, but c’mon Guice, just stfu. Be mad at yourself and consider yourself lucky.

I thought in this country you were innocent until proven guilty.
The rest of the world has to make decisions more quickly, and can't wait for years for the case to work its way through the court system.

Removing his stuff from the records books was an asinine exercise in stupidity. They need to be reinstated, but cancel culture has very long and unforgiving tentacles.

He's not wrong.
Regardless of what he did or didn't do, factual things that happen on the field should never be changed.
It is indefensible to alter the statistical record due to off the field happenings, whether alleged OR proven.

And based on his behavior it’s not hard to believe the two girls that came out about what he did to them while at LSU.
IMHO the guy's character is not good and the Virginia stuff is terrible. I do wonder why the above two, who went public with their names did not lead to any charges? NOT SAYING they are lying, but why has no prosecutor etc come out and charged him with in one case rape? And yes based on the outcomes to date he should not have been taken out of the record books...stupid

I didn't realize Lsu tried to wipe his record. I can honestly say they failed. Without looking anything up, I can tell you LF7 set the single game rushing record, and that the very next year Guice broke it by like 5 yards vs TAMU. So yeah, FU, Woke Trash U, it happened, and stands to this day as the record. DaBaby shot a dude in Walmart FFS.

what does this mean in English?
Posted on 7/11/22 at 4:45 pm to I-59 Tiger
Noted standup comedian David Chappelle, during one of his recent routines, commented that notorious rapper DaBaby murdered a man in a Walmart on camera and wasn't cancelled. However, DaBaby later had some choice words for the alphabet gang, and got cancelled for that, but not for murdering a man, on camera, in the middle of a Walmart. So Guice, who hasn't killed anyone that we know of, should not have his record cancelled, for settling some stuff out of court. And because we all remember it happening, I move that he still holds the record, because it's correct and was done legally within the rules of the game.

But he doesn't because Ty Davis Price went for 287 against Florida.
