Is it him trying to adjust to NFL play and a slow start…or potential long term issues here with his play? Drafted at 3 overall comes with lofty expectations.

How many of those 100 are rookies?

Lol. How many CBs do you think are in the league, let alone starters.

I would guess more than 100

Safe to say out of 32 teams, there are at least 64 starters… probably ~75ish

Are you going to actually link to the ranking so we know what you are referring to?

Only 13 graded rookie CBs on PFF.

Where do the other 1st rd picks rank?
Elam or Gardner?

He's not playing very well out of the gate as a rookie. It's going to be an adjustment, because Stingley has always been the best athlete on the field, and that could get him out of trouble. Now, he's going to have to learn how to play corner at the highest level with technique.

He’s a rookie. I have no doubt he will be a good player, it’s way too early to bash him for his play it being only 3 games and him being a rookie. You really can’t expect anyone to come in as a rookie and be a stud, that’s the exception not the rule even for top picks like him. I know a lot of people on here are indifferent when it comes to Sting but he was a huge part of 2019 and deserves to be well regarded for that.

Last week against the Bears he had 26 coverage snaps, had 2 targets, and allowed 0 receptions.

Texans overall are a bad team. Probably doesn’t help.

He’s also played against Matt Ryan & Russell Wilson in his first 2 games… like another poster said, he allowed 0 rec in his last game against Chicago

Before we shite on the rookie, let’s see where our other Tigers rank (also we’re only 3 weeks in to the season).. disclaimer - this is just PFF rankings

K. Fulton, 39th
P. Peterson, 54th
D. Jackson, 81st
J. Mills, 99th

Flott, unranked

32 teams and each starts 3 CBs so he's still worthy of being a starter in the NFL as a rookie. He's got nothing but time on his side to shoot up those rankings.

Believe PFF has Stingley at 89 out of 101. Like I asked in the OP, I believe this is him adjusting to the pace of play and hopefully he will be fine.

Are you using PFF? If so, I am shocked - I thought everyone knew by now how worthless PFF is. A literal magic 8 ball provides a more accurate and reliable grade.
