As long as Brian Kelly and Brad Davis are building the offensive lines, there are a lot of guys that can look good calling plays.

Blows my mind how many ADs at big time programs are willing to throw wads of cash at career assistants after showing a sliver of promise.

Meanwhile, Lance Leipold is making Kansas interesting.

CBK makes all 4th down calls and decisions, if Denbrock was making the call after the first miss then CBK would definitely make call on the next, every time we’ve went for it on 4th it was multiply misses in multiply games Fla St missed 3 Bama missed 2
CBK surely makes the decision to go for it

So you think they can turn any QB into JD? Like any player, they have to do a lot more than just show up to mandatory practices and lifting programs. Kelly says today that he prepares like a pro and is obsessed with it. Not everyone can catch on.

Define a lot. Give him a raise? I don't think so.

We’ll find out a little more about Denbrock’s abilities next year. If his play calling results in just 80-85% of this years production, I’ll give him his Kudos. But until then, based on last year and this one, I think he’s average. I sure hope he proves me dead wrong, tho.

Likely will go after an offensive coach. Good luck in the SEC though. For a first time HC it can be difficult.

I am pretty confident Denbrock is staying at LSU. Kelly and Denbrock are best friends. Denbrock is doing a great job. Denbrock, at his age, is staying with LSU family.

I think Sloan has also done great and is a future HC.

Good post, but I don't think Sloan gets enough credit. I also think he'll be a HC someday, but first he'll need a stint as an OC.

I want to keep Denbrock, but if wants to leave don't fight it. Absolutely must keep Joe Sloan. Throw the bank at him and make him QB coach / OC.

The LSU offensive staff is fricking awesome. Kelly, Denbrock, Frank Wilson, Brad Davis, Joe Sloan, and Cortez Hankton (Passing Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach)

I’m sure Denbrock is a good coach, but he has a ton of talent that would make any OC look good.

A generational QB as good as Joe Burrow
A stable of very good RBs
Two WRs that are WR1 in the NFL, plus about three other NFL roster guys
One of the best OLines in LSU history
A great, NFL starter level, TE
