Lowest graded player yesterday.

It’s still very early but we have gotten literally zero production from our first three picks through four games. That’s tough for a team with not a lot of depth.

Broughton was a 3rd the year prior. Don't think I heard his name called last night while the d-line was getting gashed. How'd he grade?
Miller was a 2nd this year. Did he even play last night?
Fuaga and Ruiz were both 1st rounders and sucked, but I'm sure PFF will have some asinine grade showing them with high ratings somehow.

Think Miller was held out due to injury. He hasn’t played since week 1 due to injury.
Broughton had our second highest usage at DT other Shepherd. But that was split pretty evenly.
Will need someone better at film to breakdown who was at fault for the running defense. To my untrained eye, while the d-line obviously wasn’t doing great, it seemed like Werner and Stutsman were just getting washed out every play. Getting continuously stuck behind our d linemen instead of filling gaps.

You had 10 of the 11 players not giving a shite.

Delp will take a year or two. TEs have the hardest transition.

Nor have they been all last year along with this. I have been pointing out for a year and 3 games now that our DL are constantly getting pushed back 3-5yds on run plays. That is atrocious.
The problem is that Staley wants to run a 3 down lineman system but doesn't have the NT to do so. Why are we still trying to run a system that we don't have the proper personnel for? At some point you need to adjust to your players, not force them into roles they don't belong.
This D will not be fixed this season. It is seriously devoid of talent, and we have wiffed on picks here the last few years. When you continue to draft poorly, this is the result.

I questioned Delp as our 3rd instead of grabbing a cb. We need help at db NOW. TE can be filled thru FA like Fant.
Hopefully Jordan Tyson will be elite and be able to stay on the field when he returns. Our draft production not looking so hot right now.

Commentators mentioned how Staley was using the injuries excuse in their production meeting this week. The players on the field played like they were content with that built-in excuse.

Or maybe Staley saw in practice how bad Stutsman and the other back up LB’s were and knew this was coming.

Staley has been around long enough and should know not to do this.

It was a pretty bad pick in the moment and isn’t looking better by the week. TE’s usually take a good bit of time to develop, but with all of the needs on this team, getting a guy that had little to no college production in the 3rd round just to sit behind Johnson

quote:I didn't keep up with Delp specifically enough to comment on his overall game; however, he got one of the most ridiculous false start penalties I've ever seen. Looked to me like he just moved his helmet ever so slightly to look towards the QB.

Idk maybe I'm dumb and missed something on this.
