You obviously didn’t go through Durham right next door. That was always a shithole.

RF beyond the fence had concessions (drinks, beer, snacks) in case you didn’t bring anything. There were also bathrooms at the field next to the Bosh. Nice and clean campus. Pretty tame, and Canes was just a 10 minute walk on Franklin St.

Inside the ballpark was really nice as well. I think it was built about 15 years ago. Wish it had been built a little bigger, but it’s still a nice stadium. Whole family had a good time, and great memories were made.

That area isa beautiful place in the fall. When in the Navy, we drove over from Virginia Beach to watch Roger Staubach lead Navy against Duke. The Fall beautiful colored leaves were blowing and the Beautiful Co-eds were everywhere to a young horny Sailor. Dreams

I’m sure it’s nothing in comparison to the beautiful Badin Roodge and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Yall do understand that BR as a place to visit isn’t as bad as the locals make it seem.

People love coming there for games. The food and vibe is just a whole different experience than elsewhere. The hoods aren’t really a factor here as visiting fans obviously do not travel there. They go to the park, eat around campus and go to the hotel. Keep melting. LSU will always be a bucket list trip for opposing fans.

More away fans stay in New Orleans than Baton Rouge for LSU games.

Making nice places that stay nice places takes leadership, time and money. The state of NC started capitalizing on the proximity of UNC, NC State and Duke in the 50's. The highly-successful Research Park was formally started back in 1959 when large rural tracks of land were abundant.

I lose track of how many failed research parks LSU has scattered around town. I consider the Water Campus to soon be added to the list as the State Gov slowly peels off and redirects coastal restoration money.

Notes on geography. Wake Forest isn't part of the Triangle, and Fayetteville isn't especially close. "Fayettenam" mostly refers to the many Vietnamese who settled there. Many were war brides; others were attracted to job opportunities when Ft Bragg (Ft Liberty to some) was bigger and loaded with Vietnam-service troops.

Yeah, the Triangle is pretty amazing. 20+ universities, over 2m people, and a GDP of 250 billion.

A pic of the Blonde UNC chick by the LSU dugout would be better.

VERY preppy bunch. I was honestly surprised. I would have expected it out of Duke or Wale Forest. Would have thought UNC would have been a little more blue collar being public. Doesn't seem like an SEC fit at all to me. I wonder if N.C. State would be better.

My biggest takeaway watching each game was how great their park looked with a traditional outfield fence.

Apparently the OP you are responding to hasn't looked at a map either; Wake Forest is 78 miles from UNC and 85 miles from Duke, not the 20 is miles as stated.
