Now I see your angle, this is an excuse narrative you’re trying to create.

Wait.

Are you actually surprised that mediocrity mcpuffs, the absolute dumbass that thinks double digits means at least 14, isn’t qualified to diagnose a rotator cuff injury just because he saw a guy playing basketball on tv?

Was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. That was obviously a mistake.

Still puts in effort on defense and rebounding.

You clearly didn't watch him in the A&M game.

Tamba played every second vs ATM at the 4. Sutton had a guy who was 3 or 4 inches shorter on him most of the game. That matchup had to be exploited and wasn’t.
I agree that the matchup should have been targeted more. However, the position you are playing is not determined by who is guarding you.

We know you've been through it all. Your playground basketball exploits are legendary.

Your real name is Lamar Mundane. They used to call you "money".

Now after your playing days, you jump over any obstacle to defend this "coach " we currently have.

Angle? LOL. You’re right. They guy almost avg a double doubles is misused. My bad. The guy who scored 23 against SMU was suddenly used terribly by choice. I’m sure McMahon decided he didn’t need Sutton to score more with DJ out because he sucks. Silly me. And for the idiots I said it looked like he tweaked his rotator and he was less aggressive because of it. And he was not as active as he has been. It’s not always coaching but to the angry school children it is. Or maybe you didn’t watch when they helped him up and he was unable to extend his right arm up. It’s not a conspiracy theory but to couch potatoes who’ve never played anything I can understand your confusion.

Right, might have conflated two things right there, my bad. What I meant was we also had success with him at the 4 taking bigger guys off the dribble vs SMU. I was saying we could’ve attacked the smaller 3 by calling plays for him or played him at the 4 where he’d be around the elbow more by design in our horns and 3 across sets. Either or ya know?

Again you defeat your own point. Yes those are his averages, coming into the game he was getting 10 shots per game and he had 4 vs ATM. If he gets his normal volume we win. Now how does he get those shots, he gets them off of DJs ability to make plays. DJ wasn’t there so you have to call plays to get him touches, we didn’t. For a basketball savant this should be easy for you to get. Sutton has the lowest usage rate of any starter except Tamba which means we don’t call plays for him but with DJ out that needs to change. What’s wrong with you?

I guess we couldn't have been luckier schedule wise with USCe next. Hopefully he's better on the 10th for Vandy. The team will need him

Disagree. Without Thomas we are on South Carolina’s level. Tomorrow’s game has all of the sudden become a tough one. We would have been better off just taking a beating from bama.

Sutton had opportunities to score but was not aggressive in his play. I remember one play in particular when he took his man off the dribble and had a clear path to the goal but stopped and turned around and dribbled back out. Was that coaching? He could have easily scored or gotten fouled.

NOLA.com says that there will be an update at 7:00 pm today. CMM said he was "day-to-day," but other reports indicated LSU wouldn't know his status until he was evaluated after returning to Baton Rouge. Also, comments like "it didn't appear to be season ending" don't really align with "day-to-day," so I'm hoping for good news later today.

i think at home LSU can beat SC without JD. Getting that first start on the the road for Reece should pay dividends moving forward. All we needed was a normal game from Sutton and they beat TAM. Hopefully he shows up Tuesday. Unless he is 80% would sit him and probably sit him anyway unless they would need him to win at some point in the game. Reece has improved since the beginning of the season and hopefully learned from his mistakes in the last few minutes of TAM game. Will definitely need JD for Vandy.

We didn’t run plays for him, I know you want to blame everything but McMahon but we don’t run plays for Sutton and that’s just a fact.

Yeah, I would have to watch the games again the key in on what he was doing. During the game I felt like Nwoko and Miller could catch the ball anywhere down low and score.

Again go back and watch the game. Sutton had plenty of opportunities to score but didn't . I just gave you one example another happened in the first half when we were down 22 -15. Reece gets a rebound but they double him. he throws to half court where Sutton is. Sutton starts to dribble towards the lane with a guard on him and the only other players under the goal is Nwoko and his defender. Instead of taking the smaller guard to the hole he gives the ball up to a trailing King who then misses a 3. Like I said his lack of aggression is why he didn't score. Now what was causing that? You do not have to necessarily "run a play" for Sutton. He has the ability to take just about anyone off the dribble or step out and hit the 3. He wasn't doing either . why?

They were awful in PNR coverage and we did a good job of capitalizing on it. The bigs did a good job

That’s where you’re mistaken, he’s not effective operating from 22 feet out with the ball in his hands. If you want him to attack you need to get him the ball 15-18 feet out and let him work from there.

They would have beaten A&M if not for the last minute implosion orchestrated by the Aggie press.

I think SC will be a lot tougher game than everyone seems to think. They're a young but very scrappy team who mixed it up pretty well against Vandy, currently the top of the heap in the league. A loss tomorrow night would be disappointing, but it's not the end for the Tigers.

I disagree, a loss at home vs South Carolina would be the end. Yes, the games will still be played, but the PMAC will be (even more) empty with the season in the gutter after an 0-2 conference start and a lame duck coach on the court.

A win and that last string of hope will still be there.
