definitely… i was watching game on my phone, and when we held them without a score at the end of the game, and then again held them to a (really epic) field goal at the end of their half of the 1st ot… both times, the bama ot game ('22?) slammed into my consciousness… and then after the ot defensive stand, i REALLY felt that we were going to win… and another similarity to the bama game, both times, we scored immediately, i mean 1st play, and we walked off a(nother) football game… (speaking of that bama ot win, lsu running back williams anybody???… )…

Ben Watson said on SEC Game Day final..."Baton Rouge on a Saturday Night is a thing. I'm not sure what it is but is definitely something."

Was a big compliment and testament to how fricking nuts Tiger Stadium was.

Dart and his line could not communicate. They could not hear a thing. Somebody could do the counting but they had at least three false starts that I can remember, and they got buried with penalties because of the confusion the crowd was creating on at least two possessions I can remember.

When Ole Miss took their fake injuries to get their Kiffin timeouts, the boos rained down loudly.

One final example, when the referee overturned a catch late in the game after review (so many reviews!), the referee's microphone was finally working over the stadium PA, but you could not hear a thing he said over the boos raining down on him.

I came here this morning just to say big props to everybody who went to the game and made some noise. That was old school, Saturday night in Death Valley! When Tiger Stadium brings it's A game then forget about it, best homefield advantage in cfb and one of the top 5 in all of sports.

But I was a little surprised to people storming the field after the game. 13th LSU was able to beat a 9th ranked Ole Miss. It's not like Vanderbilt beating the hell out of bama for 4 quarters. The Tiger shock the world and beat the Gators Oct. 11th 1997? Okay. By all means. Rush the field. But beating Ole Miss in 2024? That should be expected.

Rushing the field didn’t make sense here. This wasn’t 1997 Florida. Not even close. Can we act like we are a blue blood or is that too much?
