Not a bad first half. Felt like LSU got more confident as the half wore on. Need to clean up on the glass better and play better perimeter defense though.

Dayton has been jacking up threes at a dizzying pace. I have a sneaking suspicion they'll connect on more of them in the second half

Before the season I was concerned with the defense and rebounding. It’s now officially a concern.
LSU shot 58% to Dayton’s 37%. LSU made 6 FTs to Dayton’s 1. Yet, LSU only leads by 2. Why? 3 point dense and rebounding.
McMahon better figure out quickly his bigs play very soft and find the guys who are going to fight on the glass. If that means pulling the redshirt off of Chest that is what he needs to do. This is not Murray where it is expected to “develop” freshmen.

True. You can just go ahead and forget it, this team is going to be pathetic on the boards.
But I do think The defense has been really good in the first half. Dayton is just jacking up threes because they can't get any mid-range or post shots up. Dayton would have 18 points if it wasn't for 4 long range bombs with a few seconds left on the shot clock
