All of those teams will be ranked ahead of LSU next year

Hell, throw in TCU and UCLA for good measure

5th behind Bama, UGA, Michigan and OSU. I could see maybe Clemson being ahead.

Statements like this just tell me you have too much hubris and aren’t interested in other people’s opinions.

Night. Merry Christmas.

3 of our 4 losses were game where we didn't even compete. That's what we're returning with next season (in the eyes of many). Also, where better win our bowl game or we'll end the season on a 3-game losing streak. Definitely not a team that would be considered top-3 to contend for a national title.

We have talent coming in but its young talent. We also lost some players to the portal. Doesn't matter that they didn't start or play much. For a team that played very short-handed this season, losing players hurts us a little more than teams that were already at their compliment of scholarships. We ran out of gas this season in the 2nd half of the season. We need depth even if those players don't play much.

We did great both years so far with BK here recruiting, we should be good. How good, only time will tell.

No, team will still have depth issues. I think it take one more class to lay the foundation and see a sustainable rise. Next year very well could be a worse record but a better team overall.

Our schedule is easier. FSU will be better. I think 9-3 at worst with losses to FSU, Bama, and another SEC let down game.

Why would we be? Bama and Georgia out recruit us every year and Ga. beat the crap out of us.

Maybe its because Bama is losing Bryce Young? So, we should beat them again.

Are you saying this from our class without a high school interior def lineman? Because we had a run on DT from the portal the last 3 days?

I say one more top 5 class and we win the west and play Georgia in the SEC title game and its one hell of a game, then we make a run for the natty in the playoffs... Howard is the QB and throws for 4,000 yards on 69% 35 TD 5 int.

You do realize this past season was a rebuilding season and VERY late in the season we were still ranked 5. We lost very little and gained a good bit thru portal and recruiting.

We lost 4 games and 3 of them were blowouts. You can throw in 2 more games against average Auburn & Arkansas that we very easily could’ve lost. We finished the season ranked 17th. We aren’t the only team that is returning talent and got better through recruiting and the portal. Some of y’all have got to realize that other teams will get better as well, not just LSU.

We are bringing our entire offense back. Of course we win the west.

Oh I'm not going that far. Top 10 team sure, but not championship favorites. Not next year.

FSU will be favored in the first game. No one is scared of LSUs offense. We got embarrassed by the two great teams and a horrible one, survived against some very average SEC teams, but we beat BAMA and Ole mIss.
Better than expected year, but the passing game needs drastic improvement to be a contender.

And none of them were ranked as high as LSU was before the last regular season game.

Also, you have to realize other teams will be getting worse too.

You can say it, but it doesn’t mean it’s true.
But I would say top 10 for sure

I also feel that one more class will put us as preseason top 6 or 7 the following year. I also thought it would take 1 or two classes to win the west. So what do I know?

LSU is certainly on the road to elite again, but so are others. Looking forward to it.

No, a lot of spots with new, young faces on defense. Probably 2 more years.
