It’s just a weird stance by him. He is clearly behind both guys and would’nt have played regardless if jd left

If that’s the case then oh well. He was behind 2 better QB’s. So why the melt?

You have a fan base that is still debating if Kelly is a great hire. You have a fan base who has watched Howard throw 3 college passes and think they know more than Kelly.

Well I was told the week of Auburn that both were talking about it and that Jack was definitely gone. For him this started much earlier while he was still in the rotation.

Because second string gets more reps and more chances to shine.

Then why call me out for mentioning one of the QB faults and not the other.

We will get to the bottom of it

Maybe, maybe not.

Think about it like this. With JD as the starter, he’s got one year tops that he can play. He literally has no option to play in college football after next year. Nuss on the other hand has what, 3 years possible to play? So if JD had left and Howard didn’t think he could beat Nuss out for the starting job next year (meaning he likely wouldn’t beat him out the year after either), that’s guaranteed 2 years before he’s named the starter and possibly 3. So yeah, he could have still bailed if JD had left too.

I often disagree with you, but not on this. Daniels has little to do with this situation. It’s all just idiots melting and projecting their bullshite on the latest tempest in a teapot.

I’m not sure I’d say he has “nothing” to do with it. Given that if JD had left, Howard would have been the backup most likely (unless he’s just really really bad). It’s safe to say JD staying didn’t help but it’s probably most likely a combination of JD staying and Nuss playing as well as he has recently. I think they both see the field a good bit next year and Nuss takes over the year after and possibly even the year after that. Howard probably knew he wasn’t likely to see any real playing time for 3 more years so he left.

JD had a huge role in this. His staying means Howard is third team. Running scout team. Not getting #1 reps. Howard more than likely stays if one of those two leave.
Not quite; Howard stays if Nuss leaves. Daniels has only 1 yr left, after that the job is open.
*edit for correction*

Nuss has 3 yrs left. Howard wants to be somewhere where he's in line to be a multiyear starter. That doesn't exist here if he's behind a guy one class ahead.

I don't think the Howard camp anticipated just how far behind Nussmeier he would be, and/or expected Nussmeier to bail for another spot elsewhere. Apparently Nussmeier is remaining, and still in front of him by a significant margin.
I say this, because there doesn't seem to be any negatives coming from the LSU locker room from the returning group. Guys who are leaving are trying to get more PT, not because they are angry with the program.

Correct. Daniels saying was a Positive for Howard saying because that likely meant Nuss would leave. When Nuss stayed, that’s the lynchpin for Howard to bolt

No

It was created to respond to irrational, often emotional, criticism of Kelly allowing JD, our starting QB, to come back for 2023.

As much as JD runs , an injury is highly probable. I predict Nuss will see the field more than most people think. We can win with either. RC can run the scout team, get stronger learn and develop.

So you made up a story because you didn’t like what posters were saying. Like I said your motive was obvious.

There is no “story”

Just the completely logical, rational conclusion that Howard is leaving because he doesn’t want to be behind Nuss on the depth chart for three more years.
