Daniels has poise, mobility, and distributes the ball to his playmakers. The only thing missing is a championship. Dan Marino clone.

Reminds me more of a Jordan Jefferson or Anthony Jennings type of QB. Better runner than passer.

He was the composite #35 player in the nation in 2019 and #1 dual QB (nearly a 5 star). I think he has the talent; I want to see what he can do with LSU's talent surrounding him

The only problem with that is Bo Nix was rated as better than him by some services.

Daniels is a great runner no doubt. He is sometimes accurate and sometimes lacks touch on the ball. He is a one read QB. If his primary read ain't there he will tuck it and run it. I just hope we can keep the recievers happy with a run first QB

A good analysis of Daniels. Seems like we’ve had this before, and it it didn’t work out well against good SEC defenses. What you need is an accurate passer that is mobile enough to run or escape being sacked after multiple reads.

He’s more like Lamar Jackson. I was hoping he was more like Justin Herbert, but he doesn’t have the throwing ability. Or not that I’ve seen.

Doesn’t matter. If he gives us anything close to Lamar Jackson we’ll be fine.

Daniels isn't a run-first QB.

Ok, a run second QB, makes initial read then runs, still not good.

Can we PLEASESSESESSS STOP comparing these QBs to NFL starters?!?!? My god talk about unrealistic expectations

Well, we could compare him to Bob, the guy at Fort Valley State or somewhere like that... but nobody would know who you're talking about.

Burrow = Brees. Total command of the offense, extremely accurate, not the strongest arm but can make every throw required.

Nussmeier = Farve. Absolute cannon of an arm, never met a coverage he didn't think he could rifle a pass through.

Brennan = Stafford. Tall dude with strong arm and quick release, expected to stay in the pocket and effortlessly throw darts over the middle every play. Yardage/stats machine.

Not in style of play.

Doug and Vince were BIG dudes. Doug thrived before "in the grasp" became a thing. I remember him throwing bombs with guys hanging off him.

Daniels kinda has a Randle-El feel, he's built and moves like a very good WR.

Burrow = Bree’s? Lol. Maybe in d reading ability and accuracy. Bree’s cannot run like burrow. Bad comparison.

To be fair. He could of gone anywhere in the country. Even Bama or Ohio state. But he chose the underwhelming Herm Edwards and staying closer to home.

He most certainly is.
If his primary reciever is covered he thinks run first.
Not scram
I'm not the only one who has said that.Media members have said that as well.

yeah, I'm talking accuracy and reads, and intangibles. Also the fact that neither had an elite arm, even when first entering the league.

Daniels is an interesting comparison, he's long and lanky. Randall Cunningham might be a good comparison, or maybe Aaron Brooks (physically). I mentioned Randle-El already.
I don't know that he's stout enough to stand up to many scrambles in the NFL, but college should be fine. Kelly might be trying to get him to stay focused on the pass more. If he can and still be productive, he probably becomes a first rd talent; you just don't see many QBs that can move like he does.

I know we all hate "dual threat QBs" because they haven't panned out here. But if they ever would, it pushes the offense to a whole other level.
