quote:Hey wait, all the Meek Rant Geeks say that Sullivan is too old and doesn't have enough Swag to coach LSU WR's.
I can respect that but it's encouraging to see them getting some real coaching.
That's good that they're finally getting the technical coaching that they've needed for years. (Tony Ball-No. Dameyune Craig-No. Mickey Joseph-No No.)
Haven't seen WR efficiency since Adam Henry.
They can be "New and Improved" under Sullivan, but it doesn't matter if Brennan doesn't have any time to throw and gets poor protection from the OL. That's the main concern now. (And it's a real concern) Not gonna sugar coat the OL shite like so many Sugar Coater Pump Lump Cheerleaders do on here. It's gonna be a problem without Clapp............

I mean, I'm glad we're getting him for backup depth, but he's a very average player. He wouldn't sniff playing time at CB for LSU any other year.
Very smart kid though, so happy to have him help our depth.
I know nothing about the guy, We're just about at the "need a warm body" stage for depth at CB. So a decent player with experience in an emergency role is better than a player who might pan out but we just don't know most times. That's why I'm happy to see it.

Who hired Mickey Joseph? And why is he still here if someone else is doing his job?
Just more evidence of a fricked up organizational structure.

That CB news would be more interesting to me if he would be a sure starter, doubt it.

Joseph is a recruiter, that's why. He's along the lines of Bradley dale peveto, recruit his arse off but couldn't coach. Actually wouldn't have minded keeping Bradley and making him just recruiting coordinator.

People made fun of the hire due to him being 73, but Sullivan coaches much younger than his age.

Sullivan swag?
He gets respect when he shows them technique that they can see makes a difference in their game. They are hoping to use such teaching from a Pro, to become a pro.

None of it really matters unless we have a qb that can get them ball. We may have that this year but it's still an unknown.

I'm not completely convinced he can recruit. It's more about having a NOLA person on staff just for the sake of pleasing NOLA high school coaches. It's a pretty sweet gig.
PS sorry, replied to the wrong post.

They said the same thing about So many offensive coaches over the last ten years. And somehow we always suck on offense.

I’m no football expert but it’s hard to miss the wisdom this guy is laying down on the video. He’s giving easy to understand instruction and tying it to the reason why with the outcome as a visual. If nothing else he’s a skilled instructor. It takes him 5 seconds and few words to get crucial information to the player.
That’s not easy to do without having a mastery of the content.

Wr's getting some good direction from the "old" man. All you naysayers that didn't like the hire especially need to watch this.
Again no one is questioning his knowledge or ability to coach. It's hiring a guy as a full time coach who won't recruit. It was the same with Pete Jenkins. Stop with these pumper O and his decisions threads. They're just gonna fuel more anti O threads. It's a never ending cycle, and I for one am tired of the bias on both sides.

Been saying this for a while myself.

Giles gonna turn some heads and opinions, too.

I'm not saying he won't be good. Just would like to see him an LSU uniform before saying he's the next coming of OBJ.

You act as if we've never heard of a player tearing it up at practice only to come out and let us down. I don't see why it's difficult for people to believe that after the hype before last season, some fans have some reservations when it comes to hype this year.
