Wr's getting some good direction from the "old" man. All you naysayers that didn't like the hire especially need to watch this.

We will all be watching September 2nd and it looks like we will have to wait.

Believe it when I see it versus Miami and on a consistent week by week basis after that. Certainly not before then.

I can respect that but it's encouraging to see them getting some real coaching.

It's almost like the Derek talking points got emailed out this morning. This thread has already be done at least twice this morning.

He needs to get a refund on what he's paying these cronies of his.

Hate to say it, but it won't matter how good they are if there's no QB who can get the ball to them. Let's hope.

OP probably uses AOL so it took a bit longer for him to receive his marching orders.

Let me help you out

And here’s what you might call an LSU coaching hype video – a new 2:16 “Miked Up” clip of LSU Passing Game Coordinator Jerry Sullivan. One thing that’s evident in the video: This 73-year-old 25-year NFL coaching veteran has a thing or two to teach and does so with a high attention to detail. Looks to me like a great addition to the staff.

Something I found more interesting:

Oh, there is actually this one football tidbit to report: Remember the graduate transfer cornerback we wrote about last week – Stanford’s Terrence Alexander? Well, the former John Curtis standout is reportedly set visit LSU next month and all signs indicate that he is very likely to be a Tiger. As a graduate transfer, Alexander would be available to play this coming season and add much-needed depth at the cornerback position.

I agree that all of this can be encouraging but we have been fed this same line for multiple years that the passing offense will take flight. It just never has. Hopefully we will have a QB that is more than just a game manger. So sick of hearing...he just needs to manage the game...just don’t make mistakes. I want one that can take over a game. I think we deserve to see this ever once in a while. Hell once every 10 years would be nice.

How about we wait and see what the production is like on the field. Sullivan hasn’t earned the “proven until not” moniker

I mean, I'm glad we're getting him for backup depth, but he's a very average player. He wouldn't sniff playing time at CB for LSU any other year.

Very smart kid though, so happy to have him help our depth.

Sorry, but how is this any different than any past coach?

Three off the top of my head, Studrawa, Chavis and Miles. Listening to any of those guys on the field during drills and youd want to run through a brick wall for them.
