Flying around the field for the Cowboys today. 8 tackles 1 TFL right now.
Remember the critics of him before he started playing extremely well in 2021… one of the better stories from O’s last year. Dude is a beast.

I think it’s a statement of good coaching as well. Pelini had him lost and Blake Baker started tapping into the pure talent with fundementals and discipline play.

It was obvious it was scheme. He did well with Aranda. Pelini was so bad

Never seen in-season improvement like he made his final year

Not a better defensive player in the country from October on that season.

A lot like the hate for Duke Riley who has managed to stay in the league since 2017.

Remember he played awful to start the season but he was still catching running backs 45 yards down the after he missed the tackle at the line of scrimmage. Dude was a freak he had size, speed, but lacked coaching. As mentioned by the middle of the season he became a force and was lights out by the end of the season. Hell after he had the severe injury to his neck or back and the follow up surgery the cowboys still selected him in the 3rd round i believe. Great see he thriving again after the injury.

He’s gotten meaningfully better. Shocker: Players actually develop.

Most players improve as they mature. It's unfortunate that some of our fans lock in on the worst play and think that defines the player for life. It seldom does.

Damone should hire his former high school teammate and former 5* LB POS Christopher Allen to carry his bags, Allen isn’t doing anything these days.

He was a first round pick without the neck issue being questioned. He lacked discipline, flexing his muscles and acting foolish when he got it right. He wasn't playing with discipline and making great choices but he definitely showed extraordinary talent. It's great to see him fulfilling his potential

Damone Clark sucked at the beginning of that year, He was terrible and was always out of position. Something clicked mid year and he became an all American. I was a huge critic at beginning of the year and huge fan by end of the year but the criticism was deserved.

You guys act like some of these guys were stars at LSU. Some were avg players at LSU got drafted and the light just went on. Could it be that they got better coaching, matured or something else? Some guys turned avg LSU careers into long stays with much better success at the next level. A few players that come to mind: Danielle Hunter , Russell Gage, Russell shepard, Damone clark just to name a few. Were they great players at LSU no but congrats to them for stepping it up and doing quite well in the NFL.
