Love Dale but he blew a 20 point lead in the Ga Tech game and they had no answer for either big man. Inexcusable

A lot of people may not see it, but I see a big similarity between Dale and Will Wade. They both came to LSU as brash young coaches with a lot of ambition and a will to win. They also both, unfortunately, tend to say things that ruffle the feathers of the SEC and NCAA.
I will never forget when Dale said he had some mistletoe in his back pocket and the NCAA could kiss his you know what.
When I moved away from Baton Rouge, I lost contact with LSU sports for a while and I only know Dale's early days and the glory days. And that Coach Brown richly deserves awards and thanks!

I know this is kinda the nature of the NCAA tournament, but I always thought it was crazy how alot of Brown’s tournament teams either lost to a legit superstar or a team that made a deep run.
1979 - Magic Johnson Mich. St.(eventual national champion)
1980 - Darrel Griffith Louisville (eventual national champion)
1981 - Isiah Thomas Indiana (eventual national champion)
1985 - David Robinson Navy
1986 - Louisville (eventual national champion)
1987 - Indiana (eventual national champion)
1989 - Tim Hardaway UTEP
1990 - Ga. Tech (eventual final four)
1992 - Indiana (eventual final four)
1993 - Jason Kidd Cal
Losing to the eventual national champ in 5 out of 9 years is tough. If Rudy Macklin doesn’t break his finger the 1981 team wins it all. If Fess Irvin makes a free throw or the refs actually had balls the 1987 team wins it all in the Superdome.

Shaq was a true freshman and offensive skills not as developed. Roberts was a redshirt freshman and was actually pretty good on offense. This was during an era when most players did not leave early, and those that did left after 3rd year. This LSU team had lots of potential had the remained in tact, but very understandable why the weren't dominant.

It takes a real a-hole to judge someone as successful as Dale Brown only by their worst moments. Congratulations, a-hole.

Judging one game not his career
Dale won 448 games and took the program to new heights in the Incredible Climb to the Top, yet you chose to highlight one NCAA tournament loss to a veteran team with three NBA high draft picks. All so you and your buddies could sit in your circle jerk echo chamber and nudge nudge ach other and snicker. Yes, the a-hole moniker fits you well. It always has.

Keep lying alter, the other poster brought up a particular game, nobody’s highlighting anything or making judgments on his career. Again you’re pretending this was a discussion that took place after to the sad news today when it wasn’t. You’re dishonest scum just like your previous username.

It doesn't matter what discussion it was in you still chose to negatively highlight one loss instead of the many incredible victoies within the 448 wins over 25 years. As usual you try to deflect because you have been exposed for what you are.

Wrong again bb, I didn’t bring up the game, I just stated the facts about it. You’re just a clown in hiding looking to lash out at the people who embarrassed you but the reality is you did that to yourself.

No, douchebag.. i called you that because you can’t let go of a grudge you’ve held from a basketball game from over 2 decades ago

He was a man of extreme emotions, but he always defended and supported his players and the University…
