And the NCAA backed off. That's what happens when you have guts.

For this one reason this will all "disappear" very soon.

We’ll, that may be out of their control with this one. I just don’t want to go down alone.

If the NCAA gets our head I hope Duke, NC, Kentucky all go down as well.

Wade has a set, so I don't expect him to take this laying down. The suspension forced him to make a general statement when you know he would have preferred to remain quiet for now. But you're kidding yourself if you think he doesn't go nuclear before it's all said and done.

And I support him 1000%.

If Will Wade goes down, I hope Smart and Wade expose the other programs that were bidding. Smart has nothing to lose as he can enter the draft (I assume). Some NBA programs may consider that bad if Smart speaks out and outs the others but he can spin that around and say that he was standing up for his coach.

I remember very well when Coach Brown threatened this. It made him an true enemy of UK after that, as well as Indiana and other major players at the time. He also advocated pulling LSU and other major programs out of the NCAA and going it on their own in an effort to expose the NCAA for what it is. He was and is a man ahead of his time.

The NCAA just took notes and absolutely hammered LSU when it had its ducks in a row. Not sure Dale really won that war.

If they bring sanctions against us and not the others, I would sue them for 1 billion dollars. It doesn't matter if they have no chance of winning the case. The public forum that it would create would crush the NCAA.

He got out when it was good and people in BR don't acknowledge how he really fricked the program.

LSU lost that war, Dale is still regarded kindly, look at this thread as an example.

I don’t think WW has to threaten anything. The NCAA knows exactly what’s going on in these programs. If they step into this their world explodes.

Because he is a good man who cared for and stood up for his players and this University.

They waited until he was on his way out.

Sort of like wolves going after the oldest/slowest prey.

It is my impression that up until the early 90's the recruiting game was still primarily a coach to player concept, with all the shenanigans that went along with it. From the mid 90's to today, the coaches have succumbed to the cesspool of middle men, shoe company snakes, etc and they're now just accepting or not accepting proposals put forth by these scumbags to get players. Just my impression, but I think this is what the Feds are looking at.

Problem with this is those other coaches weren't dumb enough to be caught on wiretaps like WW

If we have to take the fall for this, Wade ought to start singing like a canary. But he should hold that tactic in his back pocket as a bargaining chip.

Dr. Redfiedl Bryan was responsible for the violations involving Lester Earl.

Dale and Johnny Jones wre exonerated by teh NCAA.

Whatever failings Dale may have had pale in comparison to his accomplishments.

The media has not exposed all of the other wire taps. At least 50 schools are involved in this current shenanigan. The coincidence of this situation and what happened in 86 is even more interesting.

It took a recruit who wasn't as good as he thought he was lying to the ncaa to get LSU. Dale made the ncaa look like fools for a long time.
