We don’t need to be the front runners yet
Teams aren’t gonna like going thru this lineup

I am as excited as anyone to see us play this season. But...

(1) I do not see enough topnotch pitching to win 20 SEC games, and
(2) I need to see great D at 3rd base and 2 base and CF before I will believe, with our SEC schedule, we can win 20 SEC games.

I'll be glad to be wrong about both of my observations.

Pretty crazy coincidence that they’re predicting us to have the same exact record as last season.
based on hitting alone, our record will be better than last year and the pitching can’t possibly be worse

Pitching is going to be fine once they sort through who can fill what role. They have enough good arms to fill out a top half of the SEC type staff. The coaching & strategy will be night & day from last year

Our arms are as deep and talented as most. We just don't know if we have top end starters yet, and we may not even use that approach anyway.

Doughty will be at 2B, SS, or 3B. One of Berry, Merrifield, or Bianco will be at 2B or 3B. CF will be Gio, Crews, or Tre. I think we'll be fine. I could put other names in those spots, and we'll still be fine.

Moral of the story: Question marks are warranted. This roster has good answers, though. It's going to come down to executing and staying healthy, then finding the right mix to maximize results.

If we could just bunt when we need to bunt - I would be very happy! I believe that we will be much better in all the basic fundamental skills moving forward.

We do have a very tough schedule. Our SOS will certainly be high...

Yes it can. We have less proven pitchers than last year.

Love the disrespect.. shite to put in the locker room. But man talk about an absolute shite job of researching... How does a team that returns every star hitter and brings in TWO All american type players repeat with the same record...

Whoever made this prediction either needs to be fired or find a new line of work. Because they aren't very good at their job.

D1 baseball has LSU as number 8 nationally.....but Arkansas, Ole Mill & State is ranked ahead of LSU, i.e., 4th best in the west. I have seen a couple of MLB 2022 mock drafts that has 4 SEC pitchers in the first round. That can & will change, but guys, this isn't CUSA. With a new coaching staff, I think 20 SEC wins is best case....but by April/May, JJ & the boys should have the rotation figured out & we will be ready for post season.

I'm fine with not bunting alot. I hate bunting, especially with a hitting lineup. I just want them to be really good at it when it's needed. It is always needed at some crucial points throughout a season, even with a hitting lineup.

So that’s basically predicting us to be a top 8 team right? 6 of the 8 best teams in college baseball are going to be from the SEC

Yea I don’t think pitching talent is an issue, it’s finding how to use the guys we have in the right scenarios.

Feel like we are going to experiment and piece games together like the Rays do

I’d be too upset to hold you to it.

You going to the Minute Maid tourney? We will be going.

But they didn't show the Aggies any love either:

SEC Record: 9-21
Overall: 29-27

You realize they’re posting last year’s records right?

Yeah, that was pointed out after I posted. Evidently I paid a $99 yearly subscription to get last years records!
