Wow!!! I didn't realize that Les Miles has let the team get this screwed up.

Sure sign that Malvetto must go...
6 ints. all year? Are you fricking kidding?? 1 int. every 2 games. That's pathetic.

From the returnees of that defense, Taylor was the first starter to go. He didn't get out of the coaches' doghouse after botching that Florida coverage, and although he played an inspired game at South Carolina, he reportedly allowed the benching to sour his attitude.
This is the only part of this write up that is about C Taylor. It goes on to say, not quote, that CT chided his teamates after the loss. The same thing Sheppard did after the game. He has to go? He needs to stay homw for the bowl game? Is that what you people draw from an article that generally describes the moments after a disgusting loss? Almost everything I just read was opinion, not fact.

Fans are fickle. Coaches make mistakes.
NOTHING EXCUSES PUNKING OUT ON YOUR TEAMMATES.
Character (or lack thereof) is exposed during times of trouble. Unfortunately, this year's events have overshadowed the past accomplishments for some Tigers (Byrd & Taylor) and exposed a decided lack of character. Root out the rotten few (coaches and players) and the team will improve. If those close to Taylor have good character, they will understand the need for this. If not, they must go too.

Get rid of all the thugs who weren't crying after the game. Free up some schollys for guys that don't get frustrated when being used as a scapegoat. If we free up let's say 30 schollys, does that mean Les can sign 56 this year or next? 56 quality, crying football players.

Thats not saying much because Danny McCray is TERRIBLE!!!!
No. McCray is TERRIBLE at the nickel spot. I think he was pretty decent at the Safety spot. Actually looked like LSU's best safety at times this year. You have to give him some credit.
The way I look at it, is that this team was split the entire year. Be it no chemistry, the defense not believing in the system, not getting along with coaches to QB problems. It's all a domino effect.
A good sign, is that we already know that Miles is making changes. You guys can say that he didn't see it or whatever floats your boat, but whatever the case may be, he wasn't telling you or me or anyone shite at press conferences. You don't fire coordinators in the middle of the season. (See Auburn)
Also, so we've been reading that there have been cancers on this team throughout the year. So we have 3 names:
RJF
Taylor
Byrd
Let the young guys play in the bowl. In his presser Miles has already alluded to that. I'm still thinking most of you guys need to get off his back. Again, he doesn't have to tell anything to any of you. Personally, I like the way he's been handling things. Just to see most of you have a conniption fit over shite that's already being handled.

I can't really speak much on Taylor's attitude cause I don't actually witness him with the coaches.
I will say that in the last two years, I have been absolutely befuddled that McCray sees the field.
His coverage skills are so glaringly weak that it stuns me that either 1)the coaches don't notice or worse, 2)that there is no one better than him to hit the field.
I've said it before, I'll say it again and I am serious. I'm 41, and McCray couldn't cover me. I would eat his fricking poor technique lunch.

Yeah, there was obviously all the signs of this team having inner problems. I'm not going to say anything about 20-22 yo people who were on top of the world last year who feel like the bottom of the toilet bowl now. It's an emotional game, but a lot of this stems from poor coaching.
People hate on McCray more than anybody on the team it seems (except QB), but once he played safety it became obvious to me he was finally able to showcase his talent. Say what you will about his one on one coverage, but I take that guy on deep help any day.
He is one player who obviously knows his assignments. Even at nickel back his was maintaining his assignment, he is just not a solid one on one cover guy. For crying out loud at least the guy can be depended on to make the damn tackle. I got so sick of seeing the C. Taylor shoulder hit/tackle.

I bet you aint shite.
This thread is about the loser attitude of one of LSU players and you make it into something else.
Miles probably needs you on the team to critique every player. Maybe you could just show up to practice and tell McCray he sucks to his face..

if he had no control of what's going on, they would have went 3-8.
I'll admit that there were issues, but to basically say he doesn't care is absurd.

I am a realist.
is Les Miles a good coach?
or have the players just WILLED their way to victory?
there has been some QUESTIONABLE coaching calls...
4th and 23? kicking a 63 yard FG into the wind?
timeout after a INT? ect...

answer your own question then. do you really believe that the players we are crucifying right now in this thread WILLED themselves to victory , the most victories ever at LSU, over a three year period? questionable coaching moves? The coaches we all fawn over ALL make crappy calls evry game. Spurrier makes some of the dumbest coaching moves i've ever seen, but people percieve him as being a genius. Should we go over the 2001 Ole Miss game to bring Nick into this example? I thought the FG at the end of the Arky game was just as good a percentage play as JJ trying to loft a ball into the wind 50 yrds and hope for a miracle. We needed a miracle either way.

Absolutely. Won without any coaching whatsoever. In his four years he has been here, a monkey could have coached this team to the same record.
That doesn't even make sense.

wouldn't a better call been like a hook and lateral play...?
ANYTHING other than "here's your chance colt. make some history"
might as well have had alem kicking it.
