Absolutely. Won without any coaching whatsoever. In his four years he has been here, a monkey could have coached this team to the same record.

the coaches have put the players, notably the defense and QB's into TERRIBLE positions this year.

do you not agree with that?

I absolutely agree with that. But after one year, the bottom line that Miles isn't a good coach? That's what I don't understand. Did we forget about the years before? what happened there? Did he just forget how to do it this year? He sees there's an issue with the defense. He made a mistake with the two co-dc's this year. He's fixing it.

Are going to sit there and tell me "good coaches" don't have bad years?

wouldn't a better call been like a hook and lateral play...?

No. The whole reason the hail mary isn't a big percentage play is that coverage is deep and four wide to stop it. How is the hook and lateral supposed to score? You don't even need the lateral, cause they'll give that shorter pass completion to you anyway. It wasn't a stupid call.

Man,that was painful to read. We do need a complete overhaul on the defensive side in coaching, but at the end of the day,the players have to step up,too. Sounds like we had some real bums on defense this year.

Wish all those seniors had the passion Beckwith did.

Yeah, just like a monkey could have taken Nebraska to a NC after they canned solich, or Notre Dame for that matter.

College football, especially in the SEC, is difficult to win a lot of games. Just as Mark "we should have made it to the national championship last year and we started this year ranked #1" Richt.

so what else do you do? Think Jefferson can make it to the endzone? How do you know? It was the first game I've really seen him. I don't know what he does in practice.

That call was a coin flip. LSU was screwed either way

the doc doesn't even need a whole year

all he needs is a game or two, then he can pretty much predict your future, see how much you can progress as compared to other people in similar positions and see how succesful you can be

when you don't reach your goals, he can tell you who's fault it is, b/c his evaluation could in no way be off base

I am REALLY starting to think we are going to be so much better off without the likes of Taylor, Byrd, RJF(assuming he declares) and some of the other senior malcontents who clearly did not give a shite.

I agree with this!!

you do realize that the reason so many longer fg attempts aren't kicked every seaso isn't because they are necessarily out of the kickers range, but instead of the field position it gives your opponant if you do miss. field position wasn't an issue after this miss and ANYONE who thinks a hail mary or any type of a lateral pay provided a higher % of success is borderline retarded

The rest of the sheep? I mean, look around, how many truly logical people in the relm of college football fans are there? Tell me why a hail mary has a beeter shot at success than the FG? Hell, have we even seen JJ throw the ball that far? Into the wind? I keep highlighting "into the wind" because we are all taking Dan Fouts word for it as to how bad the wind was blowing our direction. Wasn't he in a pressbox? That seems to be the reasoning people are using to say the FG was such a stupid a call. Once again, I liked it. If he hits it well and it clears, Les is Lesticles again. He didn't so Les is dumb.
