We have talent all around. I think it was just a bit inflated. Our d line and secondary are filled with 4 and 5 star recruits. The linebackers need work though.

not trying to defend slacking off, but these guys have a reason to be pissed at their coaches.

That said, personal accountability seems to be absent this year.

That argument would carry more weight, though, were it not for Beckwith's tears, or Taylor's glee at his mates' misfortune, or even his refusal to show up for interviews once he lost his starting job to McCray.

pouted because he got benched for shitty play. Dude is a douche. to be happy your team lost makes you a piece of shite

He is from my hometown and I co-sign. Whenever I was at Franklinton that was a big attitude problem that a ton of players had for them. "He's sorry coach, let me in" shite like that all the time. The coaches never nipped it in the arse. Must still be there to some extent. I hate to see that about Curtis, he comes from a good family.

They better start playing like it. Miles needs to make a statement by the DC he brings in here to coach them...

Bullsh!t!

Losers laugh, you don't see Favre, Bradshaw, Blount, Lott,etc..laughing after losses..especially if they or a teammate were torched at the buzzer.

Besides it's a sore subject, as I can't remember which forgettable white boys they were, but CBS caught three LSU scrubs laughing it up as the clock winded down on Curley's sorry career at Ark in about '92 or '93..note the similarity in quality of character players and their results.

No excuse for being happy about your team mates failing with out you. It isn't their fault the coach benched you. You should support them no matter what.

You can be pissed at your coaches without taking a BIG shite all over your teammates. Jim Varney is a pretty credible source so I will defer to him.

No room for senior malcontents on the team....EVER..... NO EXCUSES.

If you are pissed at the coaches and screwwing your teammates.......You, my friend MUST GO.....NOW!

Read the article next time:

quote:

At the end of the crushing defeat, he chided some of his teammates about their failures after he had been deemed a weak link.

That is a big deal.

That is exactly what happened at Alabama last year. After the LSU loss most of the senior players (keith brown and D.J. Hall) just quit. Openly scorned Sabans so called system. Caused alot of turmoil with the other players.
I'm not trying to start any s--t here just trying to make a point. If ALL your players are not on the same page a coach can lose control in a hurry. LSU was not a 7-5 team this year. They were definitlely better than that even with the QB play.

his performance this year is the only joke. mccray is better than him

Thats not saying much because Danny McCray is TERRIBLE!!!! He's the worst secondary guy at LSU this decade. If there is a big play in the passing game you can bank on him being around the ball. He is a terrible saftey and he should not even see the field. He is NOT an SEC caliber DB. He could maybe play linebacker but his tackling is terrible as well.

saying mccray is better than someone is a big thing. mccray has played way better than taylor and at least he gives a frick unlike taylor. miles is showing how much control he has when we have players acting like aaron brooks over losing a 2 td lead.

taylor should not make the bowl

What's worse is the high potential to affect, at least, two young players on the team who will be with us long after Big Curt is gone.

Can this go both ways between fans and players? I mean, if the players take an attitude anywhere close to that I can understand why they would quit on these fans, this year. We left TS when they were down in games with time left, we want to just get rid of this player or that player, we take every little image or quote and blow it up to be the end of the program. We suck as a fanbase and maybe we don't deserve all out effort, intensity, and discpline.

LSU Fan is and has been overrated for ages, mostly due to tailgating and drunken nightgame noise(they'd never longsuffer as USCe fan, nor cheer loud by day like UF, Tenn, UGA, Aub, Bama fans,) that still doesn't change the fact that a player should give all-out effort, intensity, and have discpline, otherwise why bust @ss so hard year in and year out. As first and foremost that player represents God, himself, his family, his teammates, his coaches..then maybe his fanbase? Is that player aspiring for pro ball? Laying down and/or laughing at your team's downfall makes for bad file footage/bio folder for GMs to study..not to mention further team morale decline!
