Put me in this crowd. I admit that it isn’t “all House’s fault”, but that doesn’t excuse the complete ineptitude of coaching up what you do have. Make adjustments to your scheme to something that could be just the smallest amount of competent. You had the #1 offense in the country, and due to circumstances that may have been out of your control, you knew you would give up some points on defense. But the absolute worst thing you could do on defense was sit in a predictable, soft rush 3 or 4, drop into a massively deep zone coverage, and allow teams to just easily toss and catch the ball at the first down markers and slowly, and methodically march up and down the field keeping that #1 offense in the country sitting on the bench.
You had to throw everything in the book out there trying to find something that would at the very least create a couple of turnovers. Instead we did the same, scared, don’t get beat deep high school crap all season long…. until apparently someone said “Hey, try something new this last 4Q of the season.” And what a shocker, it worked.

Like I said before....he isn’t going anywhere. Look for a change in DL & Secondary coaches.

eh, it was like 70% talent and 30% coaching. House was fine last year, things should be different next year with some continuity. They didn't have that this year.

My prediction: House is given the chance to find new employment so it isn't a firing. It'll be announced in the coming weeks and Brian Kelly is hitting the ground hard on a replacement this morning. This is what the old school professional head coaches do.
It's tough to get a top DC after hiring new position coaches because the top guys want to at least have some say in the position coaches. I think DC is first domino to fall, then position coaches.

Harris in football and Reese in WBB are in similar circumstances as to public knowledge.

I don’t see the big name boosters being ok with retaining House. They dump NIL money on these players and I know they aren’t happy with the defensive play this year. Would be a big mistake for BK to thumb his nose at these guys and keep House. Makes me think Jordy is completely off base here and just stirring things up.

Multiple LSU people were suggesting at the game and on-air that this could happen with House. Sometimes, but not always, TD is the dumbest place to gain information.

I agree. People have a blind rage towards House. You're telling me he got this bad overnight?
He deserves a chance to right the ship with better personnel.
