How many of y'all making sweeping declarations after a spring game were part of the Finley is the Future Fan Club after the South Carolina game?

Brennan was the better looking QB in the spring game. All of Max's runs were because they were not allowed to tackle him. Sorry but I do not think it is a clear number 1. Brennan was lighting up defenses before he got hurt.

But many here say Brennan just because. Seniority I guess.

Brennan was very good just to get us to that point.

LSU was 0-10 on 3rd down

Finished the game +3 in TO

A good QB performance does not lose that game. No way to twist that

If this starts to become evident then when will Myles transfer?

Considering that we only had 10 3rd downs should be a positive for brennan keeping the team our of 3rd down situations.

Ehh, possibly. We don’t really know. I know it’s speculation that Myles throws better, but not really proven, Max had the best throw of the day Saturday

Hmm. 3rd downs and red zone.... weren't those Linehan's responsibilities?

I don't think people fully grasp how awful he was for us.

So leading the nation in passing stats, after his first three starts, prior to his injury, is not indicative of ability to learn.

Here are the 2019 Spring game stats.
Passing

Myles Brennan — 16-of-24, 212 yards 67%

Joe Burrow — 15-of-25, 159 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception 60%

I guess Spring game performance can be misleading. Wouldn't you agree?

So ignorant. Young guns? Look at the lines on both sides of the ball. Last year's team was young and look how that worked out.

His injury was pretty bad and unusual. I have to wonder how well he has recovered.

Myles studied under the GOAT. Myles came in and lit it up before the injury. Maxx has given the teams tape on his running ability so it will be minimized by the defenses this year. Yes seniority does matter in some cases and this is one. O has to say there is a competition or he loses two of the younger players instead of one. Myles is your starter this year.

doesn't matter at all. If this really mattered, every backup QB playing behind a good QB should be a stud themselves.

Max isn't a RB, we're talking about the ability to extend plays when flushed from the pocket, and also run the occasional keeper. Yes, defenses have to account for that, which opens up other aspects of our offense.

Subjective statement...he is a "better passer" when? There are many different passes and situations in a game that require different techniques/abilities. In totality based on what I've seen in "live" situations, I think Max is the better passer of the two. JMO which makes it subjective as well.

I want the guy that wins. I don’t know or care which of these two guys it is. I’m just doubtful that a true soph allows you to “run the full playbook”. It usually takes guys 3-4 years to get to that point and most never do in college.

430 yards and 4 TD with no turnovers while fighting a bad ab injury is a great QB performance, the defense was utter shite giving up 600 yards and 45 points.

To further that, out of the 10 games that season, that was the highest graded out for any of our QBs with Brennan getting a 90.7 overall for that game per PFF.
