f Jarrett Lee is no longer throwing off his back foot and has improved;then, Crowton was the problem. We will know more come Sept. 3rd.

Anyone with half a brain knows that what fans saw the last 2 yrs was not Crowton's offense, and anyone with 1/4 of a brian knows that the offense is going to look just like the last 2 yrs. I just hope they execute better and have better results.

It definelty wasn't crowton's offensive line since Miles has done such a bad job handling recruiting and retention of the offensive line.

It must be painful pulling fractions out of your arse.

I do this for simple minded people like you.

You could go back and cite about 50 more examples like that of Miles playing it close to the vest like that over the last few years.
Yeah, I know, I just watched the replay of the Florida game from last year, pissed me off. We were so much better than them it wasn't even close. We just let conservative play calling, penalties, turnovers, and special teams tds keep them in the game and practically gave it to them.

This thread is just begging to be bumped after our offense looks much improved after game 1. Of course, we'll have to cue the rantards who will say it's because we played a pac-12 team.

The thing is, everywhere Crowton has been there has been a huge offensive decline after a stellar first season. If it wasn't Crowton's offense, they why did the overall offensive production during his 4 seasons here closely resemble the offensive production at BYU and Oregon under his watch? Funny thing is lots of BYU fans said he tried to run the option with John Beck.

You could say the same thing about Les Miles offenses everywhere he's been

Miles wants to play it close
It bites him in the arse sometimes

so just the last 2 years, huh? Is it just a coincedence that you claim that just the last 2 years was Miles' offense? Or do you have some type of facts or anything to back this up? What happened the other 5 years he's been here?
btw...i'm pretty sure i already know the answers to the above

'05, '06, & '07 disagree with you

I have no doubt Miles wanted to run the ball, shorten the game, and win on defense/special teams. I also have no doubt the reason he wanted to do that is because he, just like the rest of us, knew the offense was shite. Does anyone here suggest he should have put more games in the hands of the offense/Jefferson/Crowton?

Besides 05 and 06 though right? Because we had one of the best offenses in the SEC those two years.

Crowton says "No, it wasn't my offense"
The platoon system of retarded personnel switches was clearly a Crowton trademark. Trying to turn JJ into a running QB was all Crowton.

the offense may not have been completely his, but piss poor qb mechanics, random playcalling, and complete disorganization and confusion were 100% gary. He can shut the frick up with his whining.

The Crowton versus Les threads always crack me up. These simple logical questions will show the absurdity of this discussion.
If Crowton was the issue, why didn't Les step in and make the calls? If Les didn't step it, it's his fault the offense was horrid. If Les did step in, it's his fault the offense was horrid.
If the players weren't developing properly on offense why didn't Les step in and develop them? If Les didn't step it, it's his fault the players didn't develop. If Les did step in, it's his fault the players didn't develop.
If Crowton completely ran the offense/developed players and Chavis completely run the defense/developed players, what...exactly...does Miles do in game? Manage the clock? Well, we know the answer to that.
At the end of the day, if the offense was bad, it's on Les. Period.

Our offensive scheme in the cotton last year was the same as any other. Run up the middle. Run up the middle some more. The only difference was that we actually were successful running up the middle and I credit alot of that to some of Spencer Ware's demoralizing big plays in the beginning.

ahh...the ole "coordinators get no blame because they're not the HC" argument. This logic is flawed.
