Morale boost
Cliffs: Started the rule in the 80s to make sure he looked older than the players. Kept it because it showed dedication and sacrifice. Removed the rule this summer to boost player morale during covid. But he could bring it back if the team misbehaves. Finally, he’s hip and cool, now.

Sounds to me like he's feeling the pressure and grasping at anything he can to be successful this year. Good for him.

As long as they're still required to button their unis I'm good. We don't need to start looking like State out there.
