My theory:
Tyler Moore's dad asked Paul to give Moore more playing time while coming off like a d-bag without meaning to. This rubbed Paul the wrong way causing him to take it out on Tyler whenever Tyler gave even the slightest reason.

Could also be that he hit .260 as a freshman and .280 last year while also not being dominant defensively at either position he plays.

All we can do here on the rant is speculate.
Do any of us really know for sure that there is bad blood between them?
In my opinion, Moore should have played first base any game he wasnt catching this year.
But I'm not the coach.
We all know CPM loves his lefty/ righty matchups, so that kept Moore out of some games, there.
He didnt get much playing time last year with Katz on first and Ross behind the plate.
He did see some time as DH last year, but we haven't had a set DH since Blake Dean.

1st of all, I know absolutely nothing. I have zero inside information. But I am a human being. As one, certain personalities affect me in different ways. They do at my current job, they did when I played team sports. There are guys now that I would go more out of my way for than others at work. They were some teammates some time ago I would do the same with. Nature of the beast.!
I have never been a huge fan of Paul Manieri. We have different philosophies about the importance of outs and whatnot, but besides that, he kinda just rubs me the wrong way. That said, I know he's a top 5-10 coach, and I absolutely wouldn't want him replaced. Still, he's not my favorite.
By the same token, maybe Tyler rubs Paul the wrong way. Maybe he's not his favorite. Maybe he's a dick at practice. Maybe he doesn't hustle. Maybe he's an uber douche. Or more likely, maybe he does stuff off the field where Paul just doesn't feel like he can trust him. If so, he would be justified in not starting him every game. Especially considering his defensive weakness. I am in no way saying any of that is actually the case, just that we aren't privy to anything outside of what we see in games. And no matter what Maximus and his ilk think, that shite matters. Practice matters. That's why they have it.
