O is a great example. He was hu grumpy and caught some lightning in a bottle which is kind of necessary. Once he had won he wasn't hungry anymore

That’s such simplistic thinking.

was too old and washed up at the end of his career.
This is more accurate, IMO. He got too removed from the field. As such, he had no ability to impact the result. And it really sounds like he didn’t have the desire to do that hard work either.
He’s done. He isn’t the guy he once was. And what he once was probably was skewed by specific assistants who made him look better than he actually was.

Fit isn't about where you're from. He didn't fit because he was soft and it affected the team. Nick, Les and O all pushed their teams to be physical and tough. Kelly didn't. TAMU didn't until Elko arrived.

Didn’t he also say he would win multiple championships here?
Yep, he loved Kelly.

Utter nonsense. Nick Saban was born in W Virginia. Skip hired Saban from Michigan State where he had been there 5 years and never won the Big 10. So exactly where were Saban's "southern roots"?

Yankee crap means nothing.
People fit in when they demand excellence from themselves first, and then build a culture of excellence and accountability around that. It garners respect and admiration from the men you lead.

This isn't why he didn't "fit in."

Cowherd also said Baker Mayfield sucked and Sam Darnold was the next Tom Brady

Still not sure what geography has to do with anything.
It has nothing to do with geography and everything to do with mannerisms of a typical wealthy effeminate liberal from the northeast. Dude checks every box.
Not saying you need a shrimp boat captain like Ed O but somewhere between that and a dude who looks like he gets pedicures and enjoys mimosa’s is where next coaches mannerisms probably need to be.

That had nothing to do with it. Saban came from WV through Michigan.
Miles was a Michigan man. They all won because they recruited like hell, worked their asses off, and embraced Louisiana.

Incomplete coaches. If Kelly had the LSU job pre NIL, i think he could have one at LSU. If Ed could have not been a man child all the time, he could have one more than one. If Les could adapt to the playstyle times like Nick did, hell he could still be LSU's coach.
Saban is so good man. Just a great mix of all the things you want in a HC.

This shite is getting so played out here but it's no surprise considering many of you have clamored for us to bring O back, which in other words, means y'all are retarded.
Pate summed it up nicely on his show yesterday basically saying WGAF where someone is from? He didn't work out because he didn't work hard enough. Not because of where he's from or that he just didn't fit in. Winning would make anyone fit in and while he won some games, he didn't when anything that mattered. Add in how standoffish he became and it's not a surprise it ended up this way.

I was thinking about this to myself yesterday. I wonder how everything turned out if we hired Kelly whenever we fired Miles instead of promoting O. We may have not got 2019, but I think he would have probably had us at least playing for a title or 2. He would've still be in his 50s and wouldn't have had the headache that is the NIL and portal.

When the school you left was celebrating your leaving - That was a bad sign.
When your replacement took the team to the playoffs - that was a bad sign.
When you OC and DC beat you head to head - that was a bad sign.
