BK never fit in, couldn’t relate with his Yankee leanings, was too old and washed up at the end of his career.

Same shite I thought all along.

BK didn't "fit" because he wasn't willing to do what it takes to win a National Championship. This "fit" shite needs to die. It was never a thing until ESPN made it a thing when O was hired.

Still not sure what geography has to do with anything. Every successful coach at lsu not named ed orgeron was a “yankee.” Brian Kelly not fitting in has nothing to do with where he’s from.

The only fit we needed or care about was winning. This year was playoffs or bust and we busted before Halloween. Thanks for coming out

Thank you. The fit nonsense is ridiculous. If you win, you will fit. That’s it. Saban and Miles weren’t cultural fits either but as long as they were winning everyone got along

thats some dumb bullshite, it doesnt matter where hes from. Once again, Saban and Les werent from here. They fit in because they won, and they were willing to do what it takes to win.

Kelly didnt fit in, not because he was a yankee , but because he got paid and decided to take it easy.

exactly, do you think Belichick "fits" in anywhere? I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a positive thing about him, except maybe "Belichick has a pretty good coaching record when coaching teams with Tom Brady on them"

Anyone can fit in if they want to and they actually work hard.

Kelly wouldn’t even go on local espn radio. He did not care about the fans he only cared about his national brand.

He was also lazy.

Saban fit in and Les fit in. Jay Johnson currently fits in. tPear fit in.

I’m tired of everyone acting like he has to be a “cultural fit”.

The fans would enjoy a North Korean dictator if he won football games.

Nah. Brian Kelly didn't work out due to not fitting in. He didn't work out because he didn't put in the hard work necessary. Nick Saban doesn't fit in at LSU or Bama. But he worked hard and it worked out.

This is such a lazy take, so it's no surprise it came from Cowherd. DiNardo, Saban, and Miles all were from northern states. Each had their quirks, traits, and values and had a lot of success here. The one coach who fit the ""culture" (i.e., was a Waterboy caricature) flamed out just as DiNardo and Miles did because they could not sustain success.

There are lots of variables that go into whether a coach will be successful in a given job.

For is a bullshite concept.

Saban wasn’t a cultural fit
Mikes wasn’t a cultural fit

For is only brought up when you are not winning.

Why is that??? Because it’s a nonsense term. The only for that matters is winning.
