If Tony Clayton doesn't tell Sankey to publicly kiss his arse this is dropped by now.
Yankee Sankey was too butthurt to understand Clayton never even represented LSU in the first place.
"But muh, the elected official in AG Liz Murrill said Geaux Tigers!"

"Defendants’ argument that they mooted this case by deciding, at last, not to roster the players is like saying that someone caught with his hand in the cookie jar has cured the problem by pulling it out. What’s more, Defendants still have their hands in the jar," the SEC said in a filing.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm still somehow completely amazed this quote came from an adult lawyer and/or some official within the SEC.

What exactly do these assholes want?
They are trying to threaten us into staying in the crosshairs of this lawsuit so that they can get the judge to hand them blanket authority for future self-governance. And after all their bullshite and very public saber-rattling about kicking us out of the conference, they just want us to fricking trust them that they won’t use that authority to then turn around and throw us out.
I do not think the SEC is ultimately interested in booting us, at least not the majority of presidents that they would need to make that happen. However, I don’t see how there’s any way that we could ever trust them again. And it was their stupid decision to add the attorney general and board of supervisors directly to the suit. They have nothing to gain from continuing this suit, even if it would help LSU get past this whole ordeal with the SEC.
I hope we get the dismissal just to make Sankey, Plowman and Ole Myth look bad for continuing to push this farce.

Just hoping it's not a night ruling! That courtroom has voodoo.

SEC told officials if it is 50/50 play that you didn't see clearly, always give the call to alabama.
if you look at patrick peterson interception, official was blocked out of plain view by a another player so he did not see where patrick peterson's feet were. since this was a 50/50 play he did not see clearly, he was given instructions by the SEC to call the play in alabama's favor.
the replay official was looking at a standard definition replay even though high definition tv's had been on the market for 10 years. this is lack of institutional control not having a high definition TV 10 years after it was on the market. the replay official used the tv being in standard defintion as his reason for not overturning the patrick peterson interception.
so we have COLLUSION and LACK OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL on the SEC. my arguement is as valid as the SEC.

It is from their Response to the Motion to Dismiss. There were several bad sentences in it.

If we lose this, where does the appeal go? Appeals court in Alabama with another Alabama judge?
I'm asking how we can eventually get this out of Alabama

I would love to see their witness list. Is there anyone with direct knowledge that LSU was directly involved or just a bunch of I know it was happening because I was told
This is on a motion to dismiss. No witnesses. This will be legal argument only.

The 11th Circuit. Will break down the judges there. Stand by.

This case has had it all. Remember, Sankey couldn't define what an amature athlete is and then dropped this fricking gem over a month after the rule was put in place
quote:
From live testimony just now in the Pyburn v NCAA hearing:
Mr. Downton: Mr. Sankey, you’ve testified that the SEC follows all NCAA by-laws and incorporates them into your conference’s by-laws, which I appreciate, but did I just hear you say that as the SEC Commissioner, you don’t know what the current NCAA 5 for 5 bylaws that took effect 8/1/26 actually say?
Answer: I don’t. It’s the first time I’ve seen this new manual.

Have not verified this, but this looks right for the 11th Circuit, which will hear any appeals

A piece of paper that says the conference can enforce whatever rules they want to.

For what? Making him look like an imbecile when he took the stand? Or making him look like a hypocrite for selectively enforcing the rules?
I'm not sure he understands that we have two expectations. 1. We don't care what the rules are, as long as they apply to every school. 2. If you're going to enforce the rules, at least understand what they are.
Instead of blaming us for exposing his incompetence he might wanna try looking in a mirror. Something people with fragile egos struggle with.
