Be prepared for 9-3 seasons until LSU can afford his buyout.

I do think either LSU gets a new DC, a Co-DC with House, a near-complete overhaul of the defensive staff below the DC, or some combination of those.
You’re really going out on a limb there aren’t you..

Maybe, just maybe, he’ll make a decision based on his experience and assessment of the situation, and not just a knee jerk response to people that have no real knowledge.
Knee jerk response? It's been two years and we've gotten worse, not better! Our defense is currently 109th out of 130 colleges!!!!
So when should we have a response? Is 109th not low enough ranking or Ole Miss putting up more than 700 yards on national television not enough?

It amazes me that there are LSU fans who think Brian Kelly left a soft, cushy job at ND just to be a lazy, fat cat living off a big contract at LSU. He came to LSU to win a championship. That will keep him energized and motivated.

I'm a real risk-taker.
Honestly, for no particular reason, I am starting to think we get a co-dc situation with house staying and a new DB coach at a minimum, perhaps DL as well.

Do you not see what's happening at A&M right now? If they waited until after early signing day I bet there wouldn't be a mass exodus.
This doesn't really answer my confusion.
If anybody is verbally committed because of House, Steeples etc., how is keeping these coaches on through signing day going to help? So, the kid signs with us because the coach who recruited him is still on staff.
Then, days later we tell the kid that we got rid of that coach but he's already signed, so tough shite?

and not just a knee jerk response to people that have no real knowledge.
Our defense was horrific all year long, with very little apparent adjustment or improvement.
We've all witnessed this abomination for 12 weeks. This is the opposite of a knee-jerk response.

Where were all you House Derangement Syndrome clowns last year?
We hadn’t just fielded one of the worst defenses in LSU’s history at this point last year.

And if anything is hurting recruiting players to LSU it's the no nothing negative haters of House. Why would any kid want to come play for a "fanbase" like this?
Wait you think players are fine with playing for team with a bottom tier defense but draw the line when fans are upset that the team has a bottom tier defense?

They probably aren’t doing anything, at least with House, until after the bowl game. That gives the staff a little time to start talking to new recruits about coaching changes that are coming and preparing them to build relationships with the new incoming staff.
You also already see Kelly and Frank out talking to defensive recruits, which is a step in that direction ahead of signing day.

The issue was not scheme.

We had a lot of youth this year on D.

Not sure this analogy is accurate…
I think the analogy is spot-on! We're not just bad on defense, we're horrendous!
We're No. 1 in the nation on 3rd down conversion percentage - stats show that almost 60% of the time teams are converting 3rd downs into 1st downs!
We're currently 109th out of 130 teams in overall defense!
I think that qualifies as very porous!
It wasn't too long ago that our defense was so stout that LSU fans would bow to them as they stopped another 3rd down.
Nowadays, opposing fans are bowing to our defense on third downs because they know they're going to get a first down!

No, it just means he’s not overreacting. The lazy mouth breather take is to fire House when indeed he’s a fine coordinator and Kelly knows it.
