I remember Orgeron saying that he wished Brennan focused on football like he did hunting

Russell Sheppard was not a college QB,
How do you know???
90% of quarterbacks during that year were not college QB’s in the Les Miles’s offense.
Russell Shepard played against some of the best competition in the country as a high school quarterback. He was ranked as the number 2 or number 1 dual threat QB in the country by every recruiting website out there.
So did every recruiting site in the country get it wrong with Sheppard and did the QB whisperer Les Miles get it right?

The first one had many versions and was not considered a severe one at beginning.
His abdominal injury at Missouri was pretty severe. Doctors had never seen it before. They wanted to name the injury after him. They didn’t know if surgery could repair it so they decided to let it heal on its own. There was concern by the end of the year that his career might be over. He finally recovered.

Honestly, he was pretty good. Not great but he was definitely decent.

I saw Myles a few weeks ago! He seemed happy!

Why did he quit?
He practiced against Jayden Daniels in the spring instead of reading on the Rant how he was the better player.

If you had actually seen him throw, you would know he was not a QB.
There was DL that could throw better than him.

Kind of reminded me of Mettenberger. Had an arm but he was pretty immobile.

Unfortunately, BK convinced him to come back and compete after he had entered the portal. Rumor was he was just about ready to sign with Southern Miss which in hindsight would've been the best move (at least for his football career). Then Jayden beat him out and he may have even been #3 after spring so he just retired since his opportunity to start somewhere else was gone.
Then he married Bobby Hebert's niece so there's that

Why did he quit?
Bc he came from money and wasn't hungry for it
He had talent but not enough drive

Liked football. Didn’t really LOVE football.
Would have been a solid starter at a mid major. Was not SEC material imo

By the way some post about him you could have sworn he was the second coming of Joe Montana

Myles seems like a cool guy but he was not very good. Probably better than max Johnson
