Will LSU consider changing the 25% capacity established prior to the start of the season as the season goes on, or is that number set for this year?

If so, when would they reevaluate and how would tickets potentially be dispersed? Just curious if anyone knows the process. Thanks!

Ticket office said what you got for first game is what you get for the season but 2-3 event workers (sheriff and concessions) at first game said they are being told to expect full capacity at some point this season - they specifically mentioned 3rd game as target date. Can't fathom that happening but it is what they said.

3rd game is just coincidentally the Bama game and first game after election.

Would be huge. Mac Jones would not be used to playing in front of a hostile crowd and it could mess up a lot of things for him

I expect they’ll raise capacity up to 50% at some point...I’m sure it will just be individual ticket sales...while it’s possible season tickets holders that opted out would get first crack, but probably more likely that they just put any additional tickets out there available to public first come first serve

I’d be pretty surprised if we see 75-100% at any point this season, doesn’t seem likely

Well since this is his second term, in 2023 if he wants to run again I suppose.

The Georgia/Auburn game definitely seemed to have a much larger crowd. I sure hope we can get closer to capacity as the season moves on. I appreciate the info.

he cant run for a third consecutive term in 2023.

Louisiana only allows governors to serve two consecutive 4 year terms

He could theoretically run again in 2027 though as there is no prohibition to serving more terms as long as its never three terms in a row.

Correct, brainfarted and edited 2027 to 2023.

Just meant to say this is his last term. Won't run again.

Won't get my hopes up, but I could 100% see them making a capacity limit adjustment during the bye week before Bama. Will be a wild week politically with the election lol. could get weird

My thoughts when talking to them was it sure sounded like LSU isn't giving up on a packed house for bama - and I'm all for it.

I bought my tickets to the first two crappy games but that is okay. I would welcome a full house of Tiger fans for the Alabama game.

Democrat politicians aren't going to give up this insane amount of unilateral power they have gained without necessary provocation. JBE doesn't have to run for re-election, so there is no pressure on him. His next career move would, presumably, be a shot at the US Senate. But Kennedy isn't up for reelection until 2023. Plus, for whatever reason Louisiana's seem to be fully entrenched in electing Republican Senators...while at the same time electing a Democrat to the state's highest position

Edwards's next move is likely something in the national Democrat party. That party is ALL IN on keeping the country shut down and terrified. It wouldn't be a good political move for his career to go against the party line on that issue.

In short, don't expect a full or even close to full Tiger Stadium this season.

Jeebus! It is not JBE that says we cannot go to 50%. It is the SEC that said that. 25% is the largest percentage any SEC school is using. Bama, UF, and UGA are using less than that.

The SEC is not going to let LSU go to 50% unless that option is given to every SEC school.
