A fact often forgotten. Every fanbase has fans that have no formal affiliation with the school, and I don't think any differently of them. If we followed that rule, over 99% of pro sports fans wouldn't be "real" fans.

Dude I don't care what anyone on this board says, everyone's situation is different. Monetary issues, educational issues, whatever. It doesn't matter. An education is the most important factor. You can go to Ole Miss, Alabama, I don't care. If you're an LSU fan you're an LSU fan.

Well said!!! Unlike my father in law Ole Miss homer from Shreveport whose a goddam Cowbows fan!! Frick him

How about this, I went to LSU and got a full ride to olemiss law. Where does my fan hood stand. I'm LSU through and though. I could care less what y'all say. It's a free law degree.

Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Just cheer for the tigers. I always tell people (no matter where they went to undergrad) "Everyone's a tiger fan, they all just don't know it yet."

Go to whatever school you want or can.

If you call yourself an LSU fan, then you're a fan. I don't make a big deal out of where people went to school.

Cheer for whoever you want man. Don't listen to any of the idiots on this board who feel as though their admittance to LSU makes them the only legitimate fans. That's an idiotic thing to think and probably highlights some of their own insecurities.

Go to whatever institution is best for you and your personal situation.

A B average in core subjects and a 1030 SAT. I shudder to think what it was prior.

Have you considered a trade?

Yes... as long as you keep the Tiger passion you seem to have. Just make their lives a living hell. Granted, it'll be hell for you the week before the game, and probably the week after we kick their arse!

Then again, you may not have to worry about it and you'll get in. Good luck!

The fact that you had to ask if you would be considered a fan is preposterous. You can be a fan of whoever you like, where ever you end up.

I just hope people with your need for attention and lack of intellectual skills stops being a fan.

I actually met an older guy that played football for Ole Miss but was a diehard LSU fan. Seemed strange to me but he was dressed in P&G at a golf tourney.
