Corvallis was an excellent trip

Great college town. I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere, just wish LSU would have given me something to be rowdy about.
The losses sucked but I certainly wouldn’t trade places. Had a lot of nice laughs over serna missing all of those kicks in 2004.
LSU needs to take notes regarding the party deck in center field. Fun atmosphere that wouldn’t cost LSU anything. But we have joe Alleva so no hope.
Not mad at our results but I don’t think Paul maineri could ever build what Casey has done at a place like osu.

Oh and there was 100% an obese Alabama fan in camo cargo shorts cheering very hard for oregon state. LSU and beaver fans were equally embarrassed for such a pathetic loser.

I’ve lived in Oklahoma for awhile now. There’s scores of similar Bama fans here.

It was so uncalled for. I would never go to an Alabama sporting event LSU isn’t partaking in and obnoxiously cheer against them. He even made signs and brought his squidbilly children along for the dog and pony show.
I’d bet a lot of money I’ve even been to Tuscaloosa many more times than him.

Really asking, how were the fans? Were they welcoming or were they like Gator fans?

Overall they were very friendly. They let me crash some tailgates and were very generous.
They were far more country than I expected. Once I asked for a craft beer and was told “why would you want one of those queer beers”
Also during the national anthem I said “home of the TIGERS” and you’d have thought I lit a flag on fire right in front of a ww2 veteran’s face. They were quite outraged.

This is mind boggling to me and would change the dynamics of Alex Box. I can only assume he fears losing the National attendance record. I think we can all agree that a party zone for non sell outs, would be more beneficial than glorified bragging rights.

It really makes no sense we didn’t incorporate some more of the modern ballpark amenities when building the new box, they’d have given it some much needed atmosphere.

Alex Box
1) needs a dedicated general admission area for students so students can be grouped all together and not spread throughout the park. Missing the right field/Coons corner atmosphere is huge
2) needs a party deck/berm/some sort of area that offers cheap seats for people to get into the park and have a good time
Empty upgly bleachers are awful and the atmosphere at the Box is really stale IMO
