Do you need me to tell you? Don’t you already know them? Or have you gone back and forth so many times you can’t remember?

Since you keeping circling the term “Facts” let’s delve into that. We have no facts as to whether Wade is guilty or not, only speculation based on a notoriously dishonest writers hit piece which was designed to have this exact affect. Likely to a lesser degree, in his wildest dreams he couldn’t have know LSU would boggle this thing to the extent we have. So the only honest debate is did LSU handle it correctly? Of course you’re entitled to your opinion but given the fact that the LSU admin has repeatedly lied by omitting parts of the original meeting parameters and continues to lie about Wade’s intentions regarding his willingness to meet coupled with the fact that there’s precedent already established by other schools in this very same situation, even worse in Miller’s case, I’d say defending LSUs handling of this is a tall task at best.

? So you don’t know your original stance on this? Maybe put down the bong for a sec black earring boy.

I've been reading TD for years. This is the first time I've made a comment. The following is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. I have prosecuted and defended cases in state and federal court for about 25 years. I am not passing judgement on Will Wade or the LSU hierarchy. I have a feeling we don't know 1/2 of what is going on and may never will. Having said that, remember GG and and RD 1) have journalism degrees - they are not lawyers; and, 2) are not personally involved in a federal investigation/prosecution either as a witness or defendant at this time. A person in Wilson's position (guilty or innocent) would be crazy to make any type of statement to anyone, except their attorney, until he has been released from subpoena and/or not under investigation. Mr. Skinner and Mr. Williams are both very, very accomplished attorneys and they both know this. Generally speaking, I don't think they would ever let their clients make a statement that could possibly be used against him (even though talking to LSU admin is not a criminal proceeding, it can still be used against him). Can he be disciplined for not speaking to LSU admin even though it may be against his interests to do so? Depends on his contract, but probably. At this point in time Mr. Skinner and Mr. Williams client is LSU Admin and they are taking a PR beating for being the only University to suspend its coach in this wide ranging investigation/prosecution, so hence the PR war.

My uninformed opinion is that they're hoping for leniency if this thing turns out to be as widespread as people have said. As Lester pointed out earlier, it looks like they are trying to show institutional control and maybe, just maybe they will have done more than other schools and the NCAA will "reward" them for it.

I was saying the same thing...funny he forgot that little tidbit, huh?
About not mentioning everyone Wade was to meet with...anyone would be stupid to walk into that ambush with those characters without legal representation.
...and the Ncaa is gonna do WHAT THEY GONNA DO, it doesn't matter who or when they suspend any player or coach.

The whole "institutional control" thing just got a lot more important with the OLOL fallout. We're in trouble and definitely need to minimize the damage.

Ask Missouri how they were “rewarded” for their complete cooperation.

Very dishonest. This is why it’s hard to take you seriously.

I haven’t once called you a name and have shared other facts that refute your position.
But, once again, carry on with your narrative.

You ignored my post refuting your “facts”. The same way you ignored how I refuted your stance that Wade lied to LSU.
Unlike some here, I think you have some valid points.
However, your unwillingness to see how poorly LSU handled this situation is appalling and discredits your argument.

You may be right. That wasn't near as big as this thing is though. Maybe their thinking about it in terms of comparing LSU to all of the other schools that have been and will be involve in this investigation.

but Wade was put on suspension through a public statement right?
Nah. IIRC I read they communicated lawyer to lawyer. In fact Alleva’s lawyer was pissed because Wade’s lawyer made contact with Alleva.

Then it becomes even worse, a conspiracy to defraud the public by the university, and all involved. The university would knowingly be giving scholarships funded by taxpayer money to in-eligible players. Which is why the universities will do everything they can to maintain plausible deniability such as suspending and firing coaches.
