No it’s because you’d rather be upset with everyone but the man that caused this situation & has done nothing to make it better.

I am not reading through this thread, but Wade was put on suspension through a public statement right? It wasn't like Alleva called Wade in and had a private discussion to talk about it and come to some conclusion.. He just released a public statement that Wade was suspended right?
Then he request that Wade come meet with him to discuss his suspension.
The way Joe Alleva handled that.. It couldn't have been any more sloppy.
If you were at work and then all of a sudden your boss sends out a company wide email informing you and everyone else you have been fired, then the next day or two he sends out another email that says you might be able to get your job back but you have to go talk to him.
What are you asking yourself?
First, exactly why am I being fired?
Why did he not call me in and talk to me about this instead of emailing everyone?
So now he is telling everyone I might be able to have my job back, but he wants me to go talk to him first? Is this a trap? Is he trying to get me to say something?
Will Wade should agree to meet with him, but request that it be in a public setting.
LSU can say anything they want about technicalities between their communication, but Joe Alleva read the USA today article and saw what Dick Vitale tweeted and panicked. If I didn't know better, I would think his first thought was to disassociate himself from anything that might be going on. His first thought was to cover his arse first.
If there has been something like this happen already, I missed it.. But there should be a Joe Alleva press conference so the following questions can be asked.
- Why did you not talk with Coach Wade first before making the decision to suspend him?
- It's obvious you knew as far back as October that Coach Wade was part of an FBI investigation. Read to him the quotes he made on the situation back in October then ask him what has changed other than the yahoo article and the articles and tweets that were published the day after LSU beat Florida, in Florida.
- What was the reason he decided to suspend Javonte Smart for the Vandy game? And what changed between the Vandy game and the NCAA tournament game vs Florida that resulted in you making the decision a few hours before the game that Smart could play?

I was responding to the 'derail the thread' part of the comment and mistakenly quoted the entire post instead of the sentence I meant to quote, and didn't bother to proofread.
No excuses, I should have noticed that I quoted too much, and seen the problem in quoting the full post when you had absolutely nothing to do with it.
It was my mistake. I'm owning it.
I deleted the post as soon as you brought it to my attention.

Just because you deny a fact doesn’t cause to not be a fact. You’ve refuted facts and posted false statements and you’ve flip flopped on this topic now 3 times since last Friday. It’s very simple, yes the admin reacted to a writers uncomfiemd story with quotes taken out of context and suspended Wade, you’ve denied this fact. Secondly Wade agreed to the original meeting, the admin then altered the terms of that meeting and Wade’s legal counsel advised him not to go which he agreed to of course, you’d do the same if you had any smarts. Wade has stated he is still open to meeting with his bosses but that the NCAA not be present for obvious reasons, also a fact you deny. Those reasons could mean a lot of things but the most obvious speculation is that Wade’s lawyers know that if Wade gave info to the NCAA in a case that involved a multitude of programs the NCAA could then use that information to alter or damage the case and Wade by giving cover to some of the programs or even targeting some of them. Either way he should’ve and won’t do this. LSUs Admin has flooded their media arm with lies ever since the original meeting was known to the public. Those are facts what you’re doing is bending a narrative to cover for your original assumptions plain and simple.
