Me: Can you tell me why I'm paying more for my parking pass tradition fund fees than I am for the actual parking pass?

Football office: That's the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

Wth?

You would think people would have a basic understanding of NIL by now.

They’ll just raise the cost of the parking pass to fix that for you

I mean, you keep paying it, so what's the problem?

That's just smart business on their part.

Parking fee goes to campus for cleaning up and profit

Tradition fee goes to Athletics/TAF

And basic accounting. Cost of parking goes to different area than a donation.

The HC for the football team makes 10 million a year. I thought it was ridiculous to pay Saban when he was hired in 1999 a million. Do the math. I always said, eventually LSU was going to start charging for tailgating. This went back to the Dinardo Era.

My parking pass doesn't have a Tradition Fund fee.

EDIT: I just re-read your OP and it appears you're referring to a football parking pass not a baseball parking pass which is what I have. My bad.

They already do in some spots, and guess what? people pay it.

But again, why is that bad that they are making money off of something that's in demand on their campus?

Our pricing structure for LSU athletics could be cheaper IF we did not care about having top tier programs. Top tier programs cost millions of dollars and LSU has to get that money however it can.

It utterly amazes me how much some LSU supporters complain about LSU's attempts to keep competitive with our sports programs.

Yeah, I’m not sure you want to poke that bear.

Football office: You’re right, the parking pass is underpriced. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. We’ll get on that ASAP.

My parking pass has a Tradition fund too. My total cost for parking has gone up 58% compared to last season.

Just saying.

I have season tickets to football, MBB, WBB, and baseball. It is possible to go to all these games and NOT pay a lot for parking.

It was long overdue, especially for football. If it wasn't for Dinardo/Saban, TS would be a dump. (Not that it is now). My first game was in 1981, and at 9 years old, knew it was a dump. Fans cry and complain about ticket prices. You want a good product, fork over the money. Besides, lsu is still in the middle of SEC ticket
prices. Kevin Faulk in 1995 got the shite rolling with the modern day Era of LSU football. Who was before him? Curley, and his retard GF chip commercials? Chad Loup? Please

Yes, I've had 5 season tickets and a parking pass since the 80's. This is the first year this has happened.
