The conference did the right thing with the Sorsby issue ! Time for the SEC to grow some balls and stop some of their own stupidity with destroying the Game !

The SEC and BIG could easily fix the issues in CFB

They clearly are not interested in doing it

Yeah LSU hoops needs toe the line and do what's best for the sport

The conferences are the main problem, they are all trying to protect their own kingdom at the sake of the others

If you want to act like professional sports then the tv deals are the key to fixing all of this

Does TT still want to open the season against UT?

Ha, I bet they retract that statement now... TT has officially made themselves the laughing stock of college football for their actions/non-actions in this whole Sorsby thing.
I heard they're allowing him to keep his $5 milly.

Facts, our fans need to STFU. People acting like LSU coaches are not bending the rules. We got a basketball team full of guys in-line for ED meds.

While I mostly agree with you on principle, these are not the same situations. The basketball thing is the same as dozens of other schools and LSU is trying to resurrect it's basketball program and this is just a way of doing it. It's within the means that other schools are doing it and if not, they can't be competitive right now. Again, I don't totally agree with it, but it's what they have to do.
The Sorsby thing, this is not something that other players or schools are doing to stay competitive. This is a moral thing. A school doesn't increase their competitiveness by allowing their athletes to bet on their games. Contrary, it probably lessens their competitiveness if the athletes purposefully throw games.
So, for me, I'm ok with basketball doing this as long as its on the same playing field as the rest of the competition. I think the NCAA needs more teeth in their rules, and the schools president's and AD's, all need to unite to agree on this issue. If neither of those two things happen, we will continue to have guys on our basketball teams whose names we cannot pronounce. That's all i got.

Flonase Chambliss being granted another year of eligibility by Ole Miss Alumnus Judge Robert Whitwell because Flonase didn't use his flonase as directed is a joke. (Not as bad as the Sorsby case, but right up there)

Honestly, if it involved an equal application of the rules across all schools (i.e., a blanket prohibition on players who have played professionally anywhere in the world), I would be OK with that. I would take one more year of sucking in exchange for restoring sanity to college sports.

It's too late to make this clarification for the upcoming season, but I would be fine with it going forward. I do think the new 5-for-5 rules with an age limit will help rein in the most egregious abuses in the future.

Good…
I mean that.
LSU is going to do whatever is allowed within the rules. They have to to compete…
I still believe that rules need to change and everyone needs to be in compliance.
Will that affect LSU? Sure! But that’s what needs to
Happen.

Reports are they are letting him keep anything he’s already received, haven’t seen a dollar amount. But that’s just proof that he’s being paid to go away.

You seriously think the SEC and B1G should give up their media rights and pool them with the other conferences? That would be stupid. They have 90% of the marquee brands and the most viewership.

I Heard Joey McGuire giving his ‘poor Brendon’ speech. Question Joey- Would you still have brought him on your team if you knew this beforehand? Try to help him turn his life around for his addiction?

Let me answer this for you truthfully. No!

Unfortunately we are. And are paying the price for it. How many wins did Les Miles have to vacate back in 2014 and 2015?

Texas Tech went from “not playing would do irreparable harm to him” to “get the frick out” real quick when they found out the Big XII was prepared to take this to federal court
