Love Ro.
I have a clear memory of some defensive guy wrapped around Ro’s leg and Ro dragging him as he took a step to throw the ball for a completion. Guy was nails.

He’s probably thinking of the original private school on the same site- East Ascension Academy. Its roots in the late 60s early 70’s was in response to desegregation. AC is not affiliated with EAA at all.

Love Rohan. Don't know about the schools race dynamics, beyond being a small Evangelical school that's mostly white in a rural community. I do wonder about the church's pro Trump ideology and how that could impact a black coach. Wish them all the best.

If they get serious they could take a chunk out of the depth of those 5A schools and a few more

Athletes are not going to drive past Parkview, Dunham, Episcopal, etc to go to Ascension Christian. They need to pull in kids not quite good enough to play at STA/Dtown or those fleeing from EA’s diversity.

Undervalued and pushed out by the AC administration. When schools in the region found out, they all wanted him on their staff.
