What a dumb arse, not only one rule he broke but turned about and broke another right after, lol.

Sounds like he was trying to get a teammate tell the NCAA/LSU that he was in fact living with him, not the girl. Need a picture of the chick to make a legitimate observation.

How the he'll did they even find this out?? Is his room buged or something? Who the he'll is against us... I want this season over and it hasn't even started.
With all the crap the NCAA has been through they wait til now to flex.'pathetic.

Not by the NCAA. So is LSU being too cautious. Is there anything here that is so bad that he would be an ineligible player? What exactly is it that is not in compliance if he paid the stipend back? I thought that was all this is about. And I guess I'm wondering why LSU could not get it straightened out and get a ruling from the NCAA?

so tell me something... The housing issue wasn't a violation, yet when he discussed a non-violation to a teammate, THAT was a violation?

He's ineligible at this point. Can't play any games until he has a reinstatment hearing.

And I doubt the NCAA moves as fast on this one as they did with Cam Newton.

Cam was cleared in less than 24 hours.

Besides this team is not a "big play" team we're a "move the chains" kind of team.

They can do a review on Cam Newton in 18 hours, but can't square away the appeal in 9 days??!?

LSU wide receiver Russell Shepard has been declared ineligible for violation of an NCAA rule. The school says it will seek reinstatement for Shepard, but he is expected to miss a number of games until it can be considered by the NCAA. Shepard has been found by the NCAA and LSU to be in violation of Bylaw 32.1.4 after he was determined to have discussed an inquiry with a teammate, who was scheduled to meet with a representative, and his actions were deemed to have violated protocol. Shepard, a junior from Houston, can continue to practice with the team. No timeline has been determined for the reinstatement process. LSU opens the season on Sept. 3 against Oregon in Arlington, Texas.

This whole off-season has been terrible for LSU. But, aside from Krags illness, it has also been hilarious.
