Theres a reason Nuss was drafted 7th round, and it wasnt because he was some massive talent that couldnt be missed.

Well in spite of the fact that he has two NFL starters on the team, in front of him, his Head Coach just said that Nuss was driving the team down the field, running play after play, and is a dedicate student of the game.

I suspect Andy Reid has as much standing as an evaluator of talent as most "Ranters".

2008 Jarrett Lee broke Les Miles. He went from the "Mad Hatter" in 2007 to 3-yards and a cloud of dust after Lee's record-setting pick sixes.

*FTR, I loved Jarrett Lee and am still pissed he didn't see the field in the 2012 BCS championship game during the 2011 season.

That is very far from the truth, he processed information very well.
He cannot be blamed for gutting it out last year, when he clearly was having problems throwing because of injury. The injury caused multiple problems and made Nuss look bad a QB, which was sad because he is a far about average QB

Top LSU Career Passing Leaders Tommy Hodson (1986–1989): 9,115 yards Joe Burrow (2018–2019): 8,565 yards Garrett Nussmeier (2021–2025): 7,699 yards Jeff Wickersham (1982–1985): 6,921 yards Jayden Daniels (2022–2023): 6,725 yards JaMarcus Russell (2004–2006): 6,625 yards Yep he was terrible.

That’s incredible Tommy Hudson’s record still stands. He was ahead of his time.

Nuss is the only QB in LSU history to play without an O-line while also being hurt.

Nuss

Blame Brian Kelly and only BK for the cluster frick that was last season.

All yards and TDs against shite teams. Look at his SEC Stats and you will realize how awful he was.

He was absolute fricking nails in 2024. 2025 he was injured and had an absolute dog shite OL.

Both years he had terrible Offensive game planning that ultimately was “Please save us by throwing NFL throws 10-25 yards down the field”

God some of our fans really fricking suck.

5'9" might be pushing it. maybe 5-6 or 5-7

There’s video footage of Nuss in training camp lighting it up. Will he supplant Mahomes , no, but something is working for him in KC.

Yeah, both of those are wrong. He wasn't nails in 2024. His stats against SEC teams show otherwise. Once again, TR fanbois are enamored with numbers but lack the education to full understand what they say.

And also, Nuss wasn't injured last year. He said it himself multiple times. Yall just want to believe it so bad because it's the only explanation you have for how bad he was. His velocity was back for the Bama game, and Mr Checkdown king showed his true colors instead of pushing it down field to open receivers. There have been numerous break downs of game film showing guys wide open, and Nuss still throwing the checkdown. He doesnt understand defenses, or how to read them. His deep ball lacks accuracy with a career 27% on throws over 25 yards.

frick you. He was hurt, had no line, no running game, average receivers, and half the time ran for his life.

Well, he's right. He wasn't very good.

His play in 2024 when healthy had him in the discussion as a top 2 or 3 Heisman candidate and top 5 NFL draft pick. To say he wasn’t very good is factually incorrect from a scouting standpoint.
