Like team chemistry being affected by the official scorer?

I'm surprised and disappointed in your comments in this thread. I didn't take you to be a Rant rumor monger.

Just calling it like I see it. So you think all is well with the team and the coaches?

Do you think Foster and Moore will be on the team next year?

No, I don't. Again, this is just my opinion and not a rumor.

Man you guys are making it hard for me to be optimistic about next season. If we keep losing players next year's team is going to be worse than this year. And that's if we don't get screwed by the draft with incoming freshman...

Well I heard the kid from sulphur that was going to come here has committed to Mississippi state in the last day or two. Now this...I wonder how many other kids won't come now.

Don't get depressed. The program is not in some sort of decline. We will be just fine.

I think that was more of a money issue and scholarships than what's possibly going on with the team right now...

I've consistently said I thought we would be better but it sounds like we may be losing a lot of the experience I thought we would have coming back. Several of the names mentioned here are not a surprise to me, but others are.

We lose commitments every year. I don't think that is related in any way.

My opinion and only my opinion here. Bregman doesn't make an effort to be "part of the team." He's aloof and it's off putting to the rest of the team. Then he had the season's he's had. The rest of the team grew more resentful as the season wore on. If he had lit it up like he did last year he would have had a leg to stand on, but now's he's like that guy who get's promoted in the office for being the boss' pet and it rubs everyone the wrong way.

A coach should not tell the team who their leaders are. Don't you see that this could cause issues, particularly when the chosen one does not perform very well and calls out other players in tweetdom?

You seem to be conflating the issue of a coach naming the leader with the leader not being a good leader.

I'll say it again. I don't know who it should have been, but it should not have been chosen by Coach.

I'm not asking you who the leader SHOULD be. I'm asking you who COULD the leader have been. I don't really think there is/was an alternative. Perhaps Mainieri saw that and was challenging Bregman (who in hindsight may not have hit the mark from a leadership standpoint).

Ever pitched before? Ever seen a booted ball get ruled a hit? Pitchers don't care for it too much.

Actually, I made the point that Bregman gets preferential treatment in this program and I could see how other players might have a problem with it. Honestly, we had one regular starter against the SWAC school two weeks ago. Who was it?

He certainly hasn't hit the mark from a batting average standpoint.

I have no problem with him taking over the leadership role. And the people saying Mainieri forced it on him are stupid.

Bregman has just done a shitty job with it.

Well, if we lose guys like Moore and Foster with potentially more unexpected that's going to sting. We're already losing freshman and that's depth. I know we have a talented class coming in but you can't expect a roster full of freshman to light anything up. Some of the pitchers we have coming in the draft could potentially sweep them right up and frick us. We don't have Nola on the mound next year and I think Poche is going to be a great pitcher but I think it's fair to see a decline there. No way will Poche match Nola. Broussard is probably gone too.

Laird could be gone too. That would hurt especially if Foster leaves.

Are you seriously still making the case that the official scorer is the cause of turmoil in the dugout?

Bregman started. Now, why do you think that was?
